neither had a consumer credit licence, so they would be the brokers so to speak, you will need to dig out our agreements and find out who the insurer and finacier was.

    Hello
I've been trying to reclaim PPI money, but now i've got another obstacle on my way..
Wrote template letter to Zenith Staybrite ,today received reply saying that Zentih Staybrite were part of Bowater Home Improvements(or other way round). And Bowater wend into administration last january

What i dont understand is to who i've got to write next.I believe that Bowater was only my installers and Zenith the company who arranged my finances.

If Weatherseal took only ,,remaining order book,, who took care of my finances..Is they still belong to Zenith

Don't know if this helps with addresses etc.

Incipience, if you are saying that the FOS are accepting complaints where a "broker" is involved and unregulated but the lender is authorised at the time of the sale does the broker not have to be an appointed representative of the firm.

I once spoke to a manager at the FOS about this (RE Barclays trading as Firstplus complaint). I was told that in order to put my complaint forward to the firm "Barclays" then Firstplus should have been an appointed representative of theirs. (to which they are not).

There is a good "fact sheet" here about this. I wondered if you could share your views.

    http://www.fsa.gov.uk/smallfirms/resources/factsheets/pdfs/Not_main_insurance_authorised.pdf

I realise that the fsa did not take over regulation until 2005 and before that if the firm was a member of the GISC or another body but how are you actually getting the FOS to take cases against the lender when the broker sold the product.

Could you perhaps show us some documented proof here. I am still confused with it and only asking a question. I realise where you are coming from on this but surely ANYONE making any complaint is better off going for the lender even after 2005 if what you are saying is true as they would be better off moneywise.

I am now thinking of making a complaint about the FOS telling me otherwise as I did the same thing as you and made my complaint against the person the contract was with and they dismissed it. The same with someone else here too. When did they actually start doing this?

Also surely EVERONE that had a contact pre a certain date has a claim too as regards the commission etc. Is that what you are saving here.
