Yes you're right Di,will be good to see how long your one takes to give us some idea of timescale. xx

Shouldn't they be already dealing with Picture by now though, meanings they are already been declared as in default?
    It's confusing isn't it?

I will keep you updated Pinknico, whenever I hear something.;)XX

    Hi all

After a year and a half of this process, the FOS adjudicator has sent me a letter finding in my favour (yay!) regarding my complaint about mis-selling of pPI on an Egg loan of a few years ago. Egg now have until 7th Aug to respond.

I'm getting the impression that Egg tend to drag their feet. In anyones experience, does Egg ever just agree with the adjudicator or is it more than likely to go to the Ombudsman? If it does go to the ombudsman, is it likely to uphold the findings of the adjudicator or has there been cases where they have gone in favour of the financial body?

    Any info appreciated- thanks

Im in the middle of an Egg claim for PPI. I've gone through the route of arguing the point (using the letters from here) that took ages and had to take it to the FOS who have also taken ages because they "requested information from Egg" which not even they can dispatch quickly. Im right there with ya

Yes they are dealing with Picture now but unless Dialysis has been put at No.1 then we have no idea whose claims are actually being looked at at the moment and if anyone has heard anything.

Hi,Im new to this forum & am looking for some help!I was claiming my ppi on an existing loan, due to various reasons. However I have just recieved a letter rejecting my claim. They even admit in the letter that I was told that I would be covered for life insurance when in fact it was just my husband, however they say that I should have read my terms & conditions more clearly! It was a single premium policy & I certainly wasnt aware that it only lasted 3 years & that we would be paying the whole time(10)years for it!Should I have read my policy more carefully?or do I have a case as this is what I was told on the phone?:confused:

    Hi Pinknico

Yes I see what you mean now, and because there are loads that have claims with Picture, it's knowing what ref number they have and so on, but with dialysis issue as well "bless", then I see your point.;)XX

Then I would say you should take it to the FOS as I think you have a case, especially if they gave you the wrong info over the phone and the policy only lasted 3yrs. Good luck.

Hello Hugbubble, the FOS found in my favour and Egg didnt respond within the time frame and it has now been with the Ombudsman for just over a week,i believe it is likely my complaint will be upheld and it is very rare for cases to go the other way unless the adjudicator has overlooked something major.

Hi, FOS also found in my favour, Egg haven't replied in time (although telling me on the phone that the yhad and weren't going to challenge!). Now with Ombudsman, no idea how long it will take.... Egg haven't though submitted any more info, so can't see the Ombudsman changing the decision.
