  • Hi there, need some advice.Sent my letter of claim to RBS in january and still waiting for a response. They have only sent thru one letter saying it will take longer than the 8weeks but i haven't received anything else.

I keep calling them and they keep telling me the same thing, that becuase its a capital and interest loan which is till open it has taken longer for them to get the calculation to work it out. They now have that formula however mine is still in the queue!I don't know whether to complain to the Financial Ombudsman? I've had enough of waiting and feeling that they are taking the mick.

Also Im not sure how much i would get back- is anyone good at working this out. my loan is 9259.30 which includes the ppi (the loan was 6000), over 64 months with a 5 month holiday period. My loan is still openand works out as 165.35 pmonth

I feel that they are purpoefully taking a long time!
    Help

    Thanks

    Andrea

    Hi Andrea
Personally I would move on to the FOS now, blimey they have had ample time already........, tell the FOS you have been waiting and waiting and they are not dealing with this within the given timescales and want them to know take over this complaint to investigate.
You can dowload a form and print it off on their site or ring them, details here:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

Sorry I am not good at working out calculations.......:o, I'm sure someone will be along soon to give some help on this, good luck.;)

hi there, wonder why the calculation is taking so long? i know, ask them for a new loan and i will bet you they will know just what the interest will be and you will have the agreement in a flash. they are just stalling. do as di says, and good luck
