    Hi everyone

My friend Linda has rang A and L this morning and so far they have not yet looked at her complaint.

They have told her they will be in touch by the 24th of july with their response.

The FOS are correct when they say that companies are not dealing with complaints properly, and that they are taking up valuable FOS time when we have to complain to them.

    No wonder we get annoyed

Hi, hoping someone can help, just received charges list from Barclaycard and from May 2003 - dec 2006 they had been adding on £22.65 each month for IRP...I think this is an income replacement plan....but in Dec 06 after a fall at work I phoned Barclaycard to ask if I could claim on this policy, but was told that the policy did not cover Back Injuries. Can I reclaim this IRP...everyone is talking about PPI but (I think I am having a dumb day) I cant see anything about IRP? It amounts to about £700 so would be useful at the moment...thanks in advance

    Hi there.;)

If you still have the policy onhand check through that as well, check the exclusions.
Did you already have a back condition when you taken out the policy?

However, as you have not been successful in reclaiming this I think you should try to reclaim it back, as its obviously worthless to you.

Not sure on the IRP part of it, maybe someone who knows will confirm.

I would write to them and reclaim all the premiums you have paid, (you do not require the amounts to add on the letter), and the interest to claim as well.

Give your reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond in full.

They may give you the opportunity to write back again if they have not resolved in your favour in the first response.
Basically keep at them until you receive the final response, which should enclose details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can take your complaint to these if your not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint.
Post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting.

Also the link below will give you more details, there is a checklist of mis selling reasons, so what ever occurs to you, apply to the letter or reclaim.
There are templates as well to help you through this.

Good luck with this, and please post up for further help if required, and please keep us posted, cheers.;)

    Hello All,
Can you please help me, I'm a bit confused!
I took out a loan with Natwest in September 2003 for £6000. I paid it off in full in July 2004, So I had the loan for less than a year. I have been going through my old paperwork and found that I had taken out PPI that I really didn't need. I haven't got the original credit agreement. I have written to Natwest and they have said that they will refund me £159.94. This seems like a very low amount considering the amont I borrowed. I'm just confused!

    Hello there;)

I would write to them to request for the CCA (Agreement), and enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment for this, they should send by post by 12 days.
Make sure though to post by recorded delivery.

    That is a low offer.

So did you try to reclaim the PPI in writing or asked for this verbally?
    Thanks.

When you get the agreement what amount of PPI is on the credit agreement? Also is the PPI amount with interest or without interest added? If this is for a missell then you would want all the PPI and interest charged too back plus 8% statutory interest.

I would wait until you know the amounts and then write a reclaim letter to them. I bet the offer is no where near what they owe you.

Thanks for that, going through the statements I noticed that they have refunded me for Jan, Feb and March 2007 IRP payments quoting "dispute"..then no more payments have been made...so will follow your advice and send them the letter stating that this was missold, as when the accident happened I did think that I would be covered, and OH remembers me ranting on the phone to them that was the use of paying this amount if they didnt cover what I was claiming for.....

will keep you informed of any progress...fingers crossed
