    Hi everyone,

I have just had my friend on the phone who is trying to claim her ppi on a credit card she has with A and L.

We sent a letter off and she got a reply saying they would investigate and give her a response by the 26th of June.

On Friday they sent another letter saying that they had until the 24th of July to respond ( 8 weeks ).

She has got herself a bit upset about this, and I have told her that this is what happens and to expect to have to go to the FOS.

PPI reclaiming can take months to sort out and these companies fob you off with promises of taken every care to look at your complaint and getting back to you asap, and then telling you that they have looked into your complaint and that they have done nothing wrong and therefore will not pay out. Hoping this will put you off from going to the FOS.

So to anyone else out there who is feeling down about their claim DON'T be put off by these letters and keep going you will get there in the end.

And if you need any support just log on here

    Good luck everyone

    Hi Maxdp

    How are you doing.

We know that getting these letters is frustrating they build your hopes up and then they knock you down with we have investigated and have found we have done nothing wrong, hoping it will put people off going to the FOS.
Then to find once the FOS get involved most of these companies cave in.

I do not think that these companies investigate these cases at all and hopefully something will be done about it

    Have a good day

Just received an email out of the blue from the adjudicator who dealt and resolved my case in regards of the credit card (lloyds tsb), she asked if I could try to send her some of the statements as this needs rechecking as it seems there have been an error where a little more may be owed to me...., so I need to dig back out the statements and send them in.
Bear in mind this was paid out a few months back.

My sister worked this out and also said it does not look like they have paid out about 13 months of what is owed, but me and calcs do not work.....:o, silly really because why I did not go back to the adjudicator on this I do not know....., I think its cos I thought that must have been right at the time I suppose.

It has just really annoyed me to see my friend upset. I just hope A and L sort this out soon after all they have been fined for mis-selling.

Must go as I have got to go to work

    Take care

Am fine thank you Showergirl. Yes people are put off especially when you get those stern letters back from the Lenders. Mind you FOS are charging extra for stress and iconvenience now average £200 I think. Have had that a couple of times on mine where FOS said the lender should have settled and saved FOS time.:D

So hot here going to be 30 degrees today and am mowing lawns OMG:eek: also mow next doors lawn as she is a pensioner and come across a slow worm under neath a bush I don't know who was more scared me or the slow worm.:rotfl:
