  • I have had no reply from FOS or FP which has now moved onto Loans.co.uk so waiting to hear from someone? Anyone? lol

Have had positive news re bos have an adjudicator hehe! He has contacted Bank of Scotland and I believe from my last statement they have credited my account with a further £100? Also had a letter from the FOS re my PPI saying I have been assigned an adjudicatir still waiting for the others. WF and Black Horse? But never say never just hoping I get some news soon.

On a positive note I sold some things on ebay and boosted my bank account by £60 which has come at a great time as I need it next week having a bbq fr local gala day but everyone who is coming has offered to bring some food and drink so should be a cheapish day.nite hwoever not a late one for me doing a charity walk on the Sunday - must be MAD!!

Anyway will keep you all posted thanks again for your help and advice I love reading how everyone gets their claim paid its positive x

    Hi All,

Got a copy of my aggrement from HFC the other day. The amount I borrowed was £3k it does state that I have choosen to take Credit Insurance and taken out Accident, Sickness and unemployment Insurance. However it does not say anywhere how much this is. The loan was taken out in 2001 and finished in 2007. the reason why it took so long was I was having finacial trouble so they kept putting charges and interest on the account. The question is how would I know how much I pain in insurance? and would I be paying insurance on the payments each month or just on the 3k?

    Regards,

    Loftty

Good luck on your charity walk. Glad you boosted your account by 60.00 that is not bad. Hope BBQ goes ok and not a good idea to drink when walking next day.

    Hi Loftty

Hopefully they still have the information as it was only 2007 when you settled this, write and ask if they would kindly post you the figures, which should include the PPI.
Basically you require for them to send you the written breakdown of calculations.;)

    Hi,

Just wondering of someone has had the same kind of issue as me - I took a Credit Card with the Nationwide in 1999 when they sold to me CPP and PPI insurance. I filled out the application in the branch, the policies weren't explained to me and the assistant told me to take them which I did (being 19 and a bit naive at the time) I didn't ask any questions. In 04, 05 and 06 I asked for the policy to be cancelled and it wasn't. I sent out my first letter saying I believed that they mis-sold the policy to me which they don't agree sending me a copy of my applciation which ticks the boxes asking for the policies and funnily enough they only have my cancellation request from 06 and have offered me £150. This was on 2nd Feb and the moey still hasn't arrived. What should I do??

    Hi Pamla

Depending on how much difference there is on the PPI you paid to the £150 offer.

Ask them to send you a full written breakdown of calculations.

If your not happy you can always go to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) with it being a bank the FOS should be able to investigate.

If they give you offers though that you think are too low, before going the FOS direction you could ask if they are willing to offer an higher amount, if they do not do this then move on to the FOS.

    However, its entirely your choice.;)
    Good luck with this.

  • Thanks you guys my friend asked me to do it thought she was putting us all down for the 5k turns out its the 10k so will be stiff as a board come the monday morning lol. First time I have ever done anything like it so I suppose I will be feeling good that I am doing something for a good charity.

There are 19 of us and about 10 mums from the nursery doing it so have been walking, practising on my wii doing the hula hoop, ski-ing skateboarding on the ea active sports and playing tennis and baseball and its a great workout believe me - also have a dance mat hehe so havent had a shot of that yet keeping that for the bbq nite when everyone of my guests will be pie eyed and I will be sober as a judsh hehe :rotfl:
Got another letter from the FOS saying they were dealing with my complaint god knows which one as I have so many with them? Welscum have been on the phone too but they phone at like 3 in the afternoon? I am at work god they never learn!
