I have had nothing  Me and Helnag are in the same boat both Welcome finance and have been waiting well over a year now. I dont even get monthly letters now saying im awaiting an adjudicator! My only finance problem now is Welcome finance i have resolved all the others, claimed back ppi and charges etc and negotiated settlements. My mortgage co wrote to me friday offering me a fab deal to go elsewhere by August (they are stopping doing private mortgages) so i really wanna move it will save me a fortune. No one will remortgage me with a decent rate while Welcome finance still haunt my credit report. I just want an idea of where i am in the queue they just say few months everytime i ring the FO.

How frustrating this is for you.......

Nemo was taking so long with paying us out, we then had to include that amount of PPI with the remortgage......., so even though we had this back, we still had to borrow more on the remortgage, so yes I see your point here........

So I take it you are ringing or emailing them then, to find out updates?
    Which has not gone anywhere?

At least fortnightly i ring them. I was talking to Helnag on email b4 and they r the same. They are getting the same response too "few more months, few more months." I have emailed a firm of solicitors to see if theres anything they can do i cant afford to wait many more months ita ridiculous. I rang them in Feb 08 and got a reference number. They told me the ref numbers are the date order they use so technically i have been waiting 15months now with not even first adjudicator! Its a a shambles
MY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

Its a very long time to wait and still waiting to be moved on, I must admit, you would think there would be some movement by now at least.

I mentioned some time back that my in-laws were attempting to claim back PPI on a loan with Lloyds TSB, and they recieved 2 letters stating that they felt nothing was amiss with how it was sold, but have offered to renegotiate the loan without PPI, and use the balance of the PPI to reduce the loan, but have not supplied any figures, the in-laws have asked for figures before agreeing, and i was wondering if anyone has any experience of this?
Thankyou Sir Alex for 26 years

    Hi,

Just composing first letter stating reasons I believe I was mis-sold PPI etc.

Slightly confused but should I cancel policy prior to sending this letter?

    Hope someone can help

    Thankyou

hi there, if you dont mind me asking who is the loan with? it is down to you if you want to cancel the insurance, but as di says check what the cancellation terms are, if they cancel ppi and redo the loan they have to do another credit check, if you have a good credit score thats fine, but for anyone who has not, you may not get a reloan, but if you win mis sell they have to put you back in the position you were before the ppi was added so they dont need to do a credit check, hope this helps

if i were you if your inlaws think they have been mis sold, please take this further, this may be a stalling tactic in the hopes you will go away, if you believe you have not been mis sold you should ask them for workings out of this new loan and take it from there

Oh I know it is soooo frustrating. I have been working really hard to try and clear all of my debts which are now at a very manageable amount but I still have Welcome hanging over my head. If I got my reclaim decision now, in my favour, then both my car hp and my loan with them would be clear with some change left over!! I wouldn't be able to claim financial hardship either because although things are very tight I've been making sure that I meet my commitments each month without fail.

I just wonder how they allocate these things cos a couple of weeks ago someone on here said they had a decision from the FOS regarding a welcome complaint from April 2008, that's over a month later than mine!! Also people have had decisions from March 2008 but when I ring the FOS they always say they're still on January 2008 and it'll be 'a few more months'...they have been saying that since November so makes you wonder how long they will take if they still have February to get through!! I just want to know where I stand financially cos at the moment it really is only Welcome holding me back.

Oh well, on with the waiting....rant over lol xx

    Hi there

    I agree with amersall.
Don't let this go, if that was a final response, then move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).

Request for a written breakdown for the loan restructure.

Even by doing this your family can still continue to reclaim on the PPI, on what they paid in plus interest, keep on at them.

If they have not given a final response then just write back and tell them, you want this reconsidered as your not satisfied with their response, and if they don't resolve this you will take this matter to the FOS to investigate.

    Good luck.;)
