    Hi Guys

I need your help, I have a ppi claim in just now with northern rock and they have advised that it is 8 weeks from the date they recieve the questionare form back from me is this correct.

    Hi there

Its 8 weeks if you complain and reclaim by letter.
If they sent you a questionaire, not everyone completes them, but do get back to them to inform them, the questionaire has not been completed because they should already hold the information they have on you from the time you taken out the finance.
This is known as a stalling tactic.

Did you send them a reclaim letter?
If not check here for more information:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

Its your choice if you want to complete the form, but they still have to investigate your complaint anyway within the 8 weeks timescale if you have already done this by forms of a letter.

They may just try to give you an offer of goodwill, if its nowhere near the amount it should be then keep at them, if they don't higher the amount you can always complain to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), good luck.;)

    Hi Amersall,
So Sorry! I quite agree! My mistake! I posted on PPI discussion instead of Bank Charges. Got a lot of things going on at present! Initially had great success with some bank charges through Money Caims Online this has been an excellant route for me in the past. Not only did I get my bank charges refunded but also the money back that I had to pay to put it through the courts! xxxxxxxxxxxx
:j:jthats fantastic! well done to you xx

    Hi there

When a company have gone into liquidation, its worth finding out who their liquidators are, also contact the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS) to ask if the company in question are listed with them, if so, they will arrange to send you a form through the post, then when in default if they are not already, if eligible the FSCS will pay out, this would be instead of the FOS (Financial ombudsman service) as the FOS are unable to investigate complaints where the company have gone down under.

Good luck, link of the FSCS here:
    http://www.fscs.org.uk/

Do you mind posting who the company are, cheers, we can check this out for you then if you want us to.;)

I checked on Companies house, we have this here - which states that are in liquidation:

    Name & Registered Office:
    CAPITAL MORTGAGE CONNECTIONS LTD.
    PKF 78 CARLTON PLACE
    GLASGOW
    G5 9TH
    Company No. SC223061

    spacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifStatus: Liquidation

And these below who are still active:

    Name & Registered Office:
    ASSURANT INTERMEDIARY LIMITED
    117-119 WHITBY ROAD
    SLOUGH
    BERKSHIRE
    SL1 3DR
    Company No. 04019801

    spacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifStatus: Active
    Date of Incorporation: 22/06/2000

I would check with the FSCS.

Yes contact them and see what they have to say.

If you want to check companies out for liquidation or to make sure they are active or not, you can check on the site here, then click on search for the company:

Good luck, please let us know what they say.;)
