    Morning all,

Well i had at last some good news this weekend, got an unexpected letter from RBS about a loan in 2004, they offered me a goodwill gesture of almost the amount i was claiming off them, so sent the acceptence letter back straight away.

They had been messing me about with paperwork for over 18months,i had sent the forms off to the FOS and they rung my up asking for more information, i told them that RBS were being really slow and kept fobbing me off, so they(FOS) got in contact with RBS on my behalf and with 6 weeks of this happening an offer was on my doorstep.

So for you still waiting dont give up hope, im just waiting for capital 1 now but im not holding my breath for this one as its my biggest claim.

    Hi there

Congratulations, bet your relieved this is finally over, Well done !

It was hard work as RBS kept telling me that they couldnt find any record of my loan with them, kept telling me they had to pull the details from their achive in sheffield but this never happened. Even my bank manager kept spinning the same lies to try and put me off. I cannot recommend the FOS enought the people that work there were so helpful and understanding not making me feel silly or stupid for not having any paperwork about the loan. They got in touch with RBs who rung me up from there PPI complaint department( didnt even now that they had one) who could see my loan on the system straight away. Funny how if you speak to the right people things get done.

Keep up the fight it will be worth it in the long run.

Would any of you experienced PPI Heroes out there know if you can claim under Hardship Rules if you have gone through Money Claims Online? Also if so how would I go about it please? x

hi there, please dont take this as a criticism, but i dont understand why you would use this county court service, you had a success with first plus previously for the cost of two stamps, why would you want to now pay someone to do what you can and have done yourself for free?

    Hello guys!

I rang Cap One yesterday asking them if they were going to send me the details I'd requested in my SAR.....Their deadline date is tomorrow!!

The guy on the phone didn't seem to know what I talking about

Cap One originally offered me a good will gesture of about £500....that's when I sent the SAR request. They have since replied offereing me a full refund of premiums paid + interest, etc but I don't know if this is correct?!

I'm just waiting to see if I get the SAR info through tomorrow and if not will be straight on the phone again...lol They cahsed my £10 cheque about 5 weeks ago

    Hi

I am new to this site and have a question, I got a loan from Citifinancial a couple of years ago, 10k over 5 years, and was sold a single premium PPI insurance. the guy said that they would have to reconsider the loan application, unless I took out one of the insurances (i think they had a about 4 different ones, PPI, critical illness etc). I also told the guy that I had slipped a disc a couple of years earlier, and would this cause a problem if I ever had to claim on PPI, he said no it wouldnt.

Do I just cancel the policy?, or do I claim it was mis-sold? and basically what is the difference between the two?

Thanks in advance for any replies
