    Hi there

And yes this is Lloyds all over !
They leave things until last minute, sometimes over the timescale, if they do that, its up to you then if you want to move your complaint on to the FOS.
Both mine and hubby's were then resolved through the FOS.

Hope you hear soon with some good news.;)

    Hi

I have just spoken to Egg and they say if you have a loan that is still outstanding then it is within their right to use the refund to reduce your outstanding balance? I said that surely the money belongs to me and it is my choice where it goes but they reckon it is something they have always done.

Should I now go to the Financial Ombudsman or are they right?

    Thanks

    Adam
hi there, if i were you i would contact fos, this is just another underhand tactic these banks are using to claw some cash back, if you have no arrears the money is yours, if you did not have ppi in the first place that money was yours anyway it wasnt coming off the loan,( use that in your argument to fos) they should have no right to take it to reduce the loan amount please keep us posted

    HI ALL

I PUT A CLAIM IN TO CLAIM BACK PPI THAT WAS MIS-SOLD TO ME AS I WAS NEVER ASKED IF I WANTED IT AND THEN FOUND I WAS COVERED THROUGH MY EMPLOYER IF ON SICK. I CANCELLED THE PPI 2 YEARS AGO THEN READING M/L SITE DECIDED TO RECLAIM IT BACK. I APPLIED LAST SEPTEMBER AND GOT A QUICK LETTER BACK ADVISING NO WAY AND TO GO TO FOS, WHICH I DID.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THE FOS HAS ADVISED ME THAT THEY HAVE AGREED TO DEAL WITH MY COMPLAINT AFTER 8 MONTHS WITH FOS.

THE FOS ADVISE THAT B/CARD WILL PUT MY ACCOUNT BACK IN THE POSITION IT WOULD OF BEEN IN BY REMOVING THE PPI PAYMENTS I MADE. I TOOK THE CREDIT CARD OUT IN 2004 AND 1 YEAR LATER PAID THE ACCOUNT OFF IN FULL AND THEN ANOTHER YEAR LATER PAID IT OFF IN FULL AGAIN, I HAVE SINCE RUN UP THE CARD AGAIN BUT I WANT THE MONEY BACK THAT I PAID FOR PPI AND SETTLED TWICE BUT READING THE WAY THEY WORK IT OUT IT MEANS THEY WILL JUST CREDIT THE CARD AND NO DOUBT REDUCE THE CREDIT LIMIT. I KNOW THIS I'SNT ALL BAD BUT I COULD DO WITH SOME CASH AS WELL.

DO YOU THINK I COULD ASKED FOR THE REFUND OF THE PPI WHEN I SETTLED THE CARD TWICE BACK:confused:

    Hi BIKERCHIC

    Great news, well done :beer::T:beer:.

With Credit card payments, as you know you pay anything from the minumum amount and upwards, its not as if you missed payments.
They could pay this directly to you.

I would definately request for the refund of the PPI, its your money hun, you go for it, good luck.;)

    Hi all,
can i ask a question? If ppi is added on at the beginning of a loan and then the interest is added, should i receive the full amount of the policy back even if this was paid early?

    Hi deborah

Just also left you a post on the other thread lol, but never mind, check this here posted by Maxdp:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1596473

And an example of mine that was a settled loan

The ppi was that of just under £11K, we received back just under £13K of course with added interest etc, good luck with yours.

You should receive back all you paid in ppi plus the interest, 8% interest of what a court would award.;)

Hi Di and evening to all, i hope your all ok, i havnt posted for a while, just to recap i was claiming ppi and charges for my credit cards on barclays, cap one, sky, studio and now citi. I recieved ppi back from 2 cap ones on the second letters but they are refusing to pay the charges back, so sent letters to the FO. Studio paid all charges back on the first letter but refusing the ppi, so letter sent to FO. Sky just refused all after the first letter sending me the final response, so you guessed it letter sent to FO. Now barclays refused both ppi and charges after second letter, i requested they look at it again and they sent me 2 letters saying they are looking into my complain again and today they have sent me a questionaire, do i have to fill this in and send it back? Sorry for waffling but its all i seem to do is write letters, copy letters ect ect, more advice would be great please. Thanks again. Sarah xxxxx:confused:

    Hiya Sarah

Its good to hear from you and hope your well, sorry to hear of all the messing around with your cases.

In regards to the questionaire what many have done is sent the form back with a letter, and stated they have not completed the questionaire because they should already hold these details from when they sold you the policy.;)

They still have to continue within the timescales they have.

The questionaire is your choice if you want to complete, but really its just another stalling tactic.
Good luck here Sarah, whatever you decide to do.:A;)
