Hi Di and evening to all, i hope your all ok, i havnt posted for a while, just to recap i was claiming ppi and charges for my credit cards on barclays, cap one, sky, studio and now citi. I recieved ppi back from 2 cap ones on the second letters but they are refusing to pay the charges back, so sent letters to the FO. Studio paid all charges back on the first letter but refusing the ppi, so letter sent to FO. Sky just refused all after the first letter sending me the final response, so you guessed it letter sent to FO. Now barclays refused both ppi and charges after second letter, i requested they look at it again and they sent me 2 letters saying they are looking into my complain again and today they have sent me a questionaire, do i have to fill this in and send it back? Sorry for waffling but its all i seem to do is write letters, copy letters ect ect, more advice would be great please. Thanks again. Sarah xxxxx
Hi sarah,
i received one of these questionaires and refused to fill it in.
You have already given your reasons for mis selling so I would write to them stating this and send a copy of your original letter and remind them that the original date for a response still stands.
I feel these questionaires are a way of catching you out. It is irrelevant what insurances you already did have or not have in place.
The fact is they mis sold it to you and it is up to them to prove they didnt.
Hope this helps

Hello Sarah, don't worry about getting charges back from Cap1 and Barclays, you will get these back. I think it took about 6-8 weeks when I sent my complaint about Cap1 to the FOS. Barclays should be the same.x
Hi sarah
I too got all charges for cap one back through fos.
I also got most of barclays back too I'm just waiting for a decision on one more from barclays and also about my bugbear - Ocean Finance.
Good luck hun0 -
today recieved a letter turning down our reclaim for ppi saying we sghned there by saying we had read conditions and excepted them it also goes on to say as the policy was before 14 jan 2005 they are only being investigated from that date so it is not a matter the financial ombudsmen can consider should . we contact them is this true and we have no chance . anyone else had this letter0

My dad is getting help from a company called Heenans and apparently after reading the small print they dont charge for their services as they want justice for the claimant? My mum and dad took a loan out and at the time my dad was in hospital and my mum agreed to the loan they told her it would be less but turned out nearly £70 a month more she then realised there was PPI on it and hadnt agreed to anything this was done thru the RBS so will be interesting to see if they come up with the cash and if so, how quickly will keep you posted.
On my finances well I got my car sold today but the guy hasnt paid for it nor has he contacted me so getting a little bit angry and annoyed as I saw a nice one on ebay and want to bid for it much smaller than my Touran and half the Road Tax god for what I paid in 6 months I would get it done for a year and a half lol :rotfl:
Anyhoo will speak to you guys 2m have lots of letters to post in the morning xx

Hi there
So they are fobbing you off then basically ?
I would write to them again if this was not a final response, keep on at them if not then contact the FOS to make sure if they can deal with this or not.

Hi hun
This is what annoys me, they are asking for documentary evidence, where they should hold details of you on the account anyway, of course if within the last 6 years.
So this one then is in regards of a loan gone past the 6 years I take it ?
If within the last 6 years, I would request for a copy of the agreement, enclose a £1 to cover this request, in either a postal order or cheque payment, they should send you this by 12 days of requesting this.
If you have the agreement, this may be of some help, if they do not supply this then contact the ICO (Information commissioners office) here:

Hi everyone! I am new to this and am trying to claim back PPI on a car loan. The loan was sold to me at Arnold Clark, the provider of the loan is GE Capital and the PPI is managed by a company called MMS on behalf of Arnold Clark. Do I claim the PPI back from Arnold Clark, GE Capital or MMS??0

Hi Heather and welcome.;)
You start by writing to reclaim from the ones who arranged this for you, so in your case MMS.
Do you have the agreement for this loan?
If not then it may be useful if you had this in case for example they did not resolve this and you had to take matters further.
For the copy of the agreement you write to them, for this I understand both of those above could supply the agreement to you, enclose a payment of £1 postal order or cheque payment, they should send this out by 12 days of requesting this.
However, here is a useful link below, you can still continue to write in a separate letter to reclaim on the PPI.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
You will come across reclaim templates, write your own reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond in full.
Another letter maybe required if they do not resolve your complaint, the final letter from them should enclose details on how you can take this further if your still not satisifed, if eligible the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) details.
Post all letter by recorded delivery.
Post for help when needed, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
