I received a letter from Alliance and Leicester a couple of weeks ago stating I may of been missold PPI, which I actually was! When I took the loan out I was told if I didn't take out PPI it may affect my chances of being approved for the loan.

I called Alliance and Leicester and received another letter saying they can not confirm I was missold this but offered me the full amount of PPI I paid plus interest that covered the loan plus interest on top! So I will be getting £298 back that will be getting paid off my credit card bills!!!

    :j

Great news Kayleigh, more eggs for you then :T:T:beer: lol, Well done to you anyway !:jXX

Hi there, did also leave you a private message.:D

If you pay off the loan, the amount of PPI (full amount and interest) will be paid directly to you.

You do not need to use a figure on the reclaim letter, they may be required at a later date.

With a bit of luck others with experience of FP will post up in regards of cancelling this, as I am aware every company work things out differently.

If you cancel the ppi they should reduce this from your loan and repay you what you have paid in this upto date with interest, but again do not expect much reduction on the monthly repayments, if you can grin and bear it in regards of cancelling, that is up to you.;)

I believe amersall's case is still ongoing. X
hi di happy easter:easter::easter:, if you cancel your ppi with first plus you only get 78% rebate back the other 22% you have to pay back when you settle the loan!! they are rip off merchants:mad::mad: its only when you go mis sell you get payments back plus 8% interest and i for one will be glad when this company gets its just desserts!! i pm phil as i believe that he will be better off not cancelling as the monthly payment does not go down by much mis sell is the only way to go, this insurance is front loaded so it is a lump sum at the beginning and the interest you pay is astronomical!! have been there done that and bought the t shirt:mad::mad::mad: rant over lol good advice you gave phil :A:A

    Hi Terry and welcome.

You write to the ones who arranged this for you if mis sold this.....so the broker.

Do you still have the agreement for this?

If not write to them enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment to cover the cost of this, they have 12 days to supply this.

For more info on insurance/PPI mis selling check this link here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

You will come across template letters, add your own reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond in full, another letter maybe required if they fob you off on the first response, keep on at them until you receive the final response, in the final letter they should confirm how you can take this further, for example the Financial ombudsman service.

Post all letters by recorded delivery.

Good luck, you can still continue to write to reclaim on this while waiting for the agreement to come through if you do not already have this.;)

Shout if you require further help. X

    Hi Terry

I believe they are all responsible, and your going the right way with this by writing to the broker first, as the ones who sold you this product, good luck, and every penny counts.;)
Fingers crossed for you, please keep us posted X
