HOORAY I have my letter and cheques from Worst Plus! WOOHOOO
Turboman could you check the figures for me please? When you provisionally did them you said:
"On loan for PPI of 14449.10 @ 9.06% at 121.05 pm after 40 payments (to 1/2/2009)you should receive back 4874.02 + 8% of 638.04 = 5512.06 total
Also your monthly payments go back to 497.55 for the original 59000 loan--but see last sentence
All this on the assumption of the original agreement % and monthly payments the same throughout
Obviously-this is not the case as rates have varied I suspect --but above are rough figures as I ain't getting involved with the varying rates in this case as there are many judging by your post on another thread. But--new mtHly would be (59000/73449)=80.32% of 657.48 = 528.08"
What Worst Plus has given me is:
Interest accrued to date (loan and PPI): £24161.28
Int to date on loan only: £19408.21
Difference: £4753.07
PPI: £14449.10
Total applied to reduce loan balance: £19202.17
Total repayments made to date (loan and ppi): £26339.41
Total repayments on loan only: £21157.85
Difference in payments (being returned to me):£5181.56
8% interest: £710.78
So I have two cheques for £5181.56 and £710.78.
Does that sound about right?0 -

Just a quick question....
I have been trying to claim PPI back on my credit card. The company have stated as I ticked the box on the agreement, I requested the ppi, and have basically said they won't refund.
They don't have my cca. So my thinking is they can't prove I did tick this box.
I was never going to claim on this, what steps would you take now?

Hi there
When you say they don't have your CCA, how long ago did you take this out hun, if its within the last 6 years they should hold these details on their systems/microfiche, 5 years in Scotland to what I know of.
You could request a SAR (Subject access request), there is a letter template for this on the thread with details, here they have to provide you with everything they have on you again going back as far as 6 years and 5 years in Scotland, but there is a cost of £10 postal order or cheque payment for this request, they have 40 days to comply.
However, it seems they have fobbed you off here.
They must have something in my opinion to have known about you ticking the box.;)
I would ask them how did they know this if they have not got the copy of your agreement, and any problems ring the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) here:
https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx
They should be able to help and advise you in this case, good luck hun, keep at them.;)

How does the PPi work on credit cards when claiming back, because I would imagine that in theory each time you get a charge say around £30, it gets interest charged at their standard rate, around 15/16%, and of course if the balance isn't cleared then this adds up each month, or when claiming back do most people just expect to get the charges applied plus interest at 8%.
I'm thinking ahead just waiting to see CCA when it comes in.Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Hi hun
With mine, as mine was settled they paid back all that I paid in PPI and interest, I will see if I can find the letter from the FOS and post up on here which may give you more of an idea.;) But its the proportion of the interest.
Will try to get back with the info soon for you.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
