Thank you so much for this information, I was shocked to be honest that it has only taken 11 days for the first half to come through, knowing my luck i will have to wait a year for the remainder:(:(.
I will give them the 21 days grace before contacting them as I can accept that making these calculation may take a little time.

    thanks Again

You're welcome, I hope they don't mess you about and everything is resolved fully very soon, well done by the way, getting a payment of any description from LTSB is a good result :)
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)

Hi All, Been a while since last here. had quite a few successes with claiming back credit charges & ppi payments a few years ago.
Question- has anyone any ideas on claiming ppi on loan secured on mortgage that is over 6 years. Reply from GE money after sending data subject access request was as the account closed over 6 years the file has now been closed and destroyed. can I challenge this. anyone had any luck in getting back. I have the account no and date it started but nothing else. Help please.

Is this calculated in the offer?.

If you have any statements showing ppi from this period, you can use them,if you dont, then a SAR may help, but it may not give you the info you need.
Someone who has claimed cc ppi will help with this i am sure.
It is up to you to accept or not.

    Thanks for the help.

As said they used 2005-2011 to work out the average for the whole period i was paying PPI, 1992-2011, however i am quite sure that there was a long period in that 2005-2011 when there was no balance on the card thus no PPI being paid.
Thats why i am unsure whether to and how to find out what the entire PPI payments i have made from 1992-2011.

    Also what is a SAR?

You only need the account number and reasons for mis sell to put a claim in,send it off asap.
This loan was front loaded ppi,it was in effect another loan over the term with interest, use this as a reason.

I cant understand why you did a SAR and they said the file was destroyed?,it was the £10 letter you did?.
Even so,this is a fob off.

Stephen Hester to get £930,000 bonus

Treasury feared Hester and board would quit
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16752392

So who is running this country, Hester and his board or Cameron ???

    FACT:
When Hester took over as CEO, shares were 65p, now they are 28p ?
Do you call that performance worth so much money.
If YOU had a company whose shares fell so much and you went to the RBS for a loan, they would laugh you out of the bank.

WORRIED ABOUT HESTER AND HIS BOARD RESIGNING ??
What a joke, let them go and find a job elsewhere, they have themselves proved to be useless
There are plenty of experienced people around who could take over

    REMEMBER:
Every pound that the RBS locks away is a pound they will not pay you back with your PPI payments

As taxpayers, we have £43million pounds invested in the RBS, COME ON HESTER, we need it back, "EVERY LITTLE HELPS"

HESTER AND HIS BOARD THREATENED TO WALK OUT:
Amazing that he can blackmail us ?
LET THEM GO AND GET PROFESSIONALS IN TO RUN THE RBS

A SAR is a data request for all info they hold on you.

If you were sure you paid no ppi in 05/011 then take the money and run,if they recalculate, they may take off what you did not pay!.
