The interest was frozen on the account as well I think.0 -
Hi All
I used to have a cc with Egg which has now been taken over by barclaycard. Any idea which company Id write to in order to obtain my credit agreement? I am 99% sure I have paid PPI on my cc.
Thanks0 -
Hi,
My bank have sent my Purposed compensation for my PPI in mid January, however today I have checked my account and it appears that they have only depositted half. I still have the loan with LTSB and I am concerned that they have paid of the remainder of the loan without my say so.
I have also read that they pay the interest / Paid PPI amounts seperate so that it is easier to identify what is the taxable amount, Can anyone shed any light on this for me please as i am concerned and want some clarification before i contact them.
Thank you in advance for taking time out to assist.
Regards

AlexBaker, I'm not the expert (they'll be along in a bit to clarify things) but I'm pretty sure the bank can offset your PPI claim off any loan you have claimed it off. Its not a matter of your say so, they are allowed to do this as you owe them the loan.
As to the separate payments, I'm afraid I know nothing about that.

That good old ConDem government eh? Bet they blame Labour for agreeing it. (seems to be their defense for everything)
(Loving the name Fred the Shred 2 btw :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)0 -
Hi Rocket Man,
I initially thought that but when i read my Proposal letter they said that they would be re-calculating the loan payments without the PPI included.
I could understand if they had clearly stated this in the initial offer but they didnt.0 -
Hmmm, I don't know then Alex. I'd wait for one of the lovely experts to chip in then
They'll be around soon.

Hi alexbaker1983, They can only use your redress to pay off ARREARS on your loan. If the loan is still active and you have no arrears or any claims on the PPI then you should get any redress back to yourself. LTSB are renowned for paying in bits and drabs. As the loan is still active they are probably re calculating your outstanding balance and re calculating your future payments to term end and will send out another payment in the future. When that will be is anyone's guess. They go about things in a very strange way I'm afraid
I am glad I haven't had to deal with themSuccesses

Thank you so much for this information, I was shocked to be honest that it has only taken 11 days for the first half to come through, knowing my luck i will have to wait a year for the remainder:(:(.
I will give them the 21 days grace before contacting them as I can accept that making these calculation may take a little time.
thanks Again0
