Has anyone had any success with little woods reclaiming ppi ?
Sorry I'm new to this forum, but have had successes with other mainstream banks with ppi, am just trying to help others and spread the word x thanks

Hi and welcome, yes I do believe Littlewoods has paid back, as long as you have all the paperwork and you can answer these questions with a no, you can win

*Did YOUR BANK explain the full cost of the PPI when you took out the loan?
*Did you specifically ask YOUR BANK for PPI?
*Did YOUR BANK make clear that PPI was optional?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about your medical history?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about any existing payment cover?
*Did you know that YOUR BANK added a PPI policy to your loan?
*Do you think YOUR BANK treated you fairly?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you have any existing medical conditions?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you were entitled to sick pay from your employer?
*Did YOUR BANK add the PPI without your permission

If you answered no to any one of the above you could be owed thousands of pounds

    PASS IT ON
  • Hi amersall I looked on the EGG and noticed that barclaycard had taken over Egg credit card and the only number I could get was for barclaycard. I will see if I can find another number somewhere but I have written to barclaycard asking for my account number.
  • I have found paperwork relating to loans from Alliance and Leicester (now santander). They all have PPI, I am submitting a claim for a refund of the premium due to being told that loan would only be granted if we took PPI, no mention was made that we could make alternative arrangements. One loan fell into arrears when I became ill and I made arrangements to pay reduced amount each month , at that time A&L appear to have cancelled the PPI, so I wouldn't have been able to submit a claim for the time I was off work ill, if I am successful in claim will they put money towards arrears of loan or as I had actually paid the monthly premium will it be returned to me. Don't mind either way just would like to have all the facts to hand, thanks for any advice in going forward with claim.

The question is why did they cancel the PPI, were you told and did they still charge you
  • Thanks for reply, don't think they told me about cancellation of Insurance, I just accepted that any money sent would be put towards overall debt. I didn't realise that I had PPI and with hindsight I would have been eligible to make a claim but as soon as they cancelled PPI that was it.
  • spoke to barclaycard on phone this morning because they couldnt find my agreement, told them i had the statements and i was sending copies in relating to goldfish card which they took over. the guy on the phone said they only go back 6 years, but my claim is for 2003, so i dont suppose i have much chance of winning??? there is outstanding balance on the card because i am on a dmp, so basically the account is still active?

Hi if an account is active as far as i am aware the 6 years don't apply i had this with my HSBC mortgage but if an account is active they have to go back to the inception (start) of the account, disregard this, maybe you can let the bank know as well that this is the case as half there staff don't seem to know what there doing.

the guy was a bit vague.i think he was inferring that they only check back 6 years when they have no records, sounded like he was trying to mislead me so maybe i would give up, who knows what tactics they are told to use, anyway the statement copies are now in the post with a letter asking them to reopen, so i suppose its another 8 week wait now?

Sounds like you have been talking to one of Bob Diamonds JERKS ?

If they have taken money from you on PPI that was probably dodgy anyway, go through the check list below and if you can answer NO to one or more, claim back to the start of the card with interest

OK, best find out first why they cancelled the PPI. You need to ask them this
