PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi,
I do apologies for this very newbie question, but....
My husband has put in a claim against the Halifax for the PPI he has paid on his cc. We have now found some paperwork to show he also paid PPI on a loan he had with them a few years back. I just wondered whether to send another questionnaire of for this, or because we have already complained they will automatically look at this too??
Thanks in advance xx0 -
Can someone clarify this ppi on credit cards malarchy ... im under the impression the higher your balance/monthly payment the higher the ppi each month you paid ?! Or is it a set amount per month regardless of whether you had a balance of 1k or 18k ... ive not claimed my credit card ppi's only sent bank loans forms off so it was just a very small question that I didnt know the answer to! :-)Member & fundraiser for Meningitis Research Foundation0

OK, see the check list below, if you can say NO to any of these you can claim back. Complain directly to the CEO of barclays
robert.diamond@barclaysplc.com
*Did YOUR BANK explain the full cost of the PPI when you took out the loan?
*Did you specifically ask YOUR BANK for PPI?
*Did YOUR BANK make clear that PPI was optional?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about your medical history?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about any existing payment cover?
*Did you know that YOUR BANK added a PPI policy to your loan?
*Do you think YOUR BANK treated you fairly?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you have any existing medical conditions?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you were entitled to sick pay from your employer?
If you answered no to any one of the above CLAIM BACK
YOUR BANK
Barclays knocked me back on a 20 year old card, saying I knew what I was doing when I signed up. I was 18 when I got the card and only ever check statements for monthly payments, so quite annoyed.
Still, the other banks have taken responsibility so I've got a lot back from them.0 -

It does not matter what they say, if you establish a mis-sell from this list, that is what you go back to them on

Can anyone help on a draft letter to sent to the FOS?
I had a rejection letter from Black Horse.....they sent me a few letters advising they were looking into it etc, then came a letter rejecting the complaint (i've seen the same letter on some peoples posts) so i replied at the beginning of October and heard nothing.
People have said to go to the FOS but can someone help on a draft letter and what to include?0 -
also.....does anyone have a direct email for someone in Black Horse??0

We had a loan with Lloyds that we took out in 1997 and finished in 2002. I have found an old statement that clearly says loan insurance included in the monthly payments of £275.
Because of the amount of time that has passed, I am assuming that if I write to Lloyds asking for a copy of the loan agreement they will say they no longer hold it - however i have proof (albeit flimsy) that we did pay PPI on the loan.
Since we both started work in the 80's our employers have provided full sick pay and as we both work in the public sector we would have received full redundancy payments as well.
So knowing what I know now we would not have taken PPI and we never claimed on it anyway.
Do you think we have a valid claim or are we too late?
Your thoughts please.
If you paid this loan by DD, if you have internet banking, look at your DD list, the payment details may still be there,if they are you have the account number.
What proof do you have that you paid ppi? this may help.
Look here for reasons for mis sell
