Convinced the wife to claim back her ppi on a loan of £20,000.
The repayment came to over £17,000 and she eventually got it all back. Unfortunately, instead of sending the forms off that I dowmloaded from this website she signed up with Gladstone Brookes.
They told her 'no win no fee' and charged her £50 admin fee up front and sent her the same forms to fill out as I had already downloaded.
Now the repayment has arrived Gladstone Brookes are asking for 25% PLUS another 20% for VAT.
I think it is a rip off and she shouldn't pay it.
Any advice?.......... Please!0 -

Sorry but you have no option but to pay them, you entered a contract to which they legally can claim their fee from you.FOR THOSE READING THIS, NEVER EMPLOY A COMPANY TO DO THE WORK YOU CAN DO YOURSELF FOR FREE0 -

Hi, Have found some really great info here about making a claim. I have several cards and old loans that I am to look into but the template letter seems to require an account number for any accounts I wish to ask for T's & C's for... and I do not have all of those for all of the accounts I wish to look into!! I know all the companies and all of the dates of the loans/cards but NOT account numbers...
Is there still a way to ask companies for details without this??
Thanks in advance!!!!

To Andrea Barry,
I have banked with Halifax since it was the Leeds Building Society, I am now 70 Years of age.
I have 3 claims for PPI Misselling lodged with your bank and they were sent to you on the 16th May 2011, all three have been upheld and another one has been rejected, as to which I am sending to F.O.S
It is now 22 weeks since I sent the claims in and over 6 weeks since I was told that they have been sent to the Calculations Department. I have not heard a word since.
As previously mentioned I am now 70 Years of Age and would like to see MY MONEY RETURNED whilst I am still on this earth to enjoy it.
On the 26th September 2011, 5 weeks ago my Local MP of Bassetlaw, Mr John Mann wrote to the Halifax on my behalf and has since not had the courtesy of a reply. I think this goes to show if an MP cannot receive a reply , then this is proof of the contempt you have for your customers and the way you disregard the FSA rules of 16 weeks backs this up.
I wonder if a sit in or a protest of OAPS outside the Retford Halifax branch should take place to highlight this terrible situation would shake you out of your compliancey?
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PUT ETHIC BACK INTO BANKS!!!!
I await your reply - if with any anticipation!?

Hi Everyone,
I want to claim back ppi on a mortgage from C&G (Lloyds TSB). The paperwork says Cassidy Davies Insurance services administers of C&G payment protection on behalf of Lloyds TSB. So who do I write to to claim it back? The address on the paperwork is for Cassidy Davies or should I use one of Lloyds main addresses??
Thanks0 -
Is anyone else in the same position as me, I accepted an RBS/NatWest offer via the FOS without figures but they stated that it would be redressed in line with their guidance. This was for a CC. I had money paid into my CC at the beginning of Nov but have not received any correspondence on the matter from NatWest/RBS no letter with an amount or breakdown of their calculations. I know someone suggested ringing but with the horror stories of waiting times I dont know if its worth it. Anyone else had this happen to them.0

Hi,
I sent a form in to British Credit Trust (BCT) in september for missell of PPI. I recieved a final response 10 days ago saying they were not upholding my claim giving a list of reasons why. I sent a letter back challenging the reasons they gave me. I said that if i did not recieve a satisfactory response within 7 working days that i would go to the FOS. Today (exactly 7 working days later) i got a letter of BCT saying that they understand that i am not happy with the final response i recieved and that they will investigate my claim and that they aim to get back to me within 4 weeks.
is this just a stalling tactic or does anyone think that they may be going to change their mind and uphold my claim.
