I have a Catalogue, who there insurers are Aviva, yet since i put in my claim for miss selling PPI, around August, Aviva are dragging there heals, weeks and now months, they are saying that they are waiting for information from the calalogue, before they can say i've got a complaint, which would then mean another 12 weeks, the last letter i had from Aviva was saying that they are hoping to get back intouch with my within 10 days which is today. Time wasting or what !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi

Was this a credit card or loan ppi?
I understand it differs from loans to credit card ppi, but I did not realise they stopped since 2005 though.

    Well done on your success.

    Hi Di

It was ppi on a credit card, they said they don't charge the interest on ppi payments don't know if I believe them tho.

Hi everyone, getting fed up with the disgusting attitude of these criminal banks ??

YOUR VOICE NEEDS TO BE HEARD
Suggest you send a copy of this letter to everyone you can think of who might, just might take notice. That includes Cameron, your MP Milliband, newspapers, TV, FSA, FOS ...... put on your thinking cap !

    Dear Sirs,

RE: REPAYMENT OF MIS-SOLD PPI POLICIES BY THE BANKS

No doubt you are fully aware that since the recent court case regarding mis-sold PPI policies, consumers whose money was stolen from them, are struggling to get claims paid.

The banks are using every stalling tactic they can dream up to delay payments.

Many banks are just referring complaints back to FOS well knowing that it will create a delay of some 8 weeks in their favour.

    THE BANKS CONCERNED ARE
    BARCLAYS
    EGG
    MBNA
    LLOYDS / HBOS / HALIFAX
    NATWEST
    ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND
    CAPITAL ONE
    MORGAN STANLEY
    HSBC
    TESCO
    VIRGIN
    ABBEY / SANTANDER
    .... to name but a few ?

The FSA seem to lack powers in this matter, The FOS is now getting into a backlog situation

All the public want, is to be refunded for the money stolen from them in this massive fraudulent scam operated by the banks.
Out of interest, are the authorities simply not interested in The Fraud Act 2006 to which all the banks are guilty of ?
If the authorities can ignore the laws, why would you expect the public not to do the same ?

The banks are currently treating the authorities, the FSA, FOS, the goverment, the courts and consumers with the utmost contempt

In light of this mockery, how can anyone expect the consumer to have faith in the future where banks and authorities are concerned

    Yours faithfully
  • Hi

has anybody successfully claimed back associated CC charges after a PPI claim has been upheld? If so how did you go about it and is there a template letter I've had a look and I can only find the standard one?

    Any help appreciated!

Also just pinged off a PPI email to Santander for a Mothercare card I took out in store in 2004.;) It won't be a huge amount as the premium has only been between £1-£5 month however it's better in my back pocket than theirs!:p

Still waiting to hear back from Capital One and have written my SAR letter to Natwest, so I'm not asking you to do it ALL for me :)

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I have just penned a letter to Capital One in response to their feable attempt to fob me off and claim that this is their final response. Is it worth me copying this to the CEO's e-mail address, or would this be a waste of time? I have already faxed and posted this out.
  • Hi
I started a claim for the ppi payments from BlackHorse in November 2010. I had once claimed against the insurance but the info on the website still encouraged you to make a claim. Well, after numerous delays, court decisions etc I received a letter back on the 26.08.11 saying that they were going to settle my complaint. I filled out the acceptance form and got my OH to sign it as well as this was a joint claim. Sent it back 29.08.11 first class post, then phoned Black Horse to find out the settlement figure and when the money would be refunded. Was told that it would take at least eight weeks, and they still had to calculate the final figure. So once again I waited, still had not heard anything from them, so I phoned again on 28.10.11 and mentioned that I had returned the acceptance letter over 8 weeks ago and still hadn't heard anything. Was told that the letter had been received but not until the 7th Sep, so they were still within the 8 weeks. So maybe they give themselves extra time by delaying the logging dates of correspondance!? Anyway I have now been told that I'm getting back over £18,000.00 and it will be in my account by the 11th November. So to all that have been waiting for a long time, don't give up....just keep at them and have patience.
PS had contacted the FOS at one point and the guy told me that it was very, very unlikley that I would be successful.:j:money:
