Had a moment last night I couldn't sleep racking my brains thinking about companies I'd had loans from etc.
So far this morning I've filled in claim forms for 2 more Blackhorse loans totalling £7k ish that have both been paid off - hoping these ones will be successful as my previous one for them was I just forgot about these :j

I put in a complaint about my Capital One card but can't see it being a big amount, but then it's all going against my remaining debt so every little helps I want to clear as much of my £2500 ish debt as posible and am hoping these will help.

I also found paperwork for a £12500 loan from I-group loans now GE Capital that complaint has been done over the phone and I've been told I'll hear from them within 7 days I won't hold my breath

Also still waiting to hear back from HSBC but they still have 9 weeks out of the 12 to respond

Hoping my sleepless night was worth it, time will tell :rotfl:

Fingers crossed for you then, keep at them if you have to, the best of luck :);)

I think i must've had a call from the same girl, i told her we'd won back £15k and she was like wow, I then said to her that the best bit was not having to cough up 30% to companies like hers!! haha, she hung up on me,:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Thanks again Di,

I will try the e-mail address and see how I get on! Will let you know.

I know exactly how you must have been feeling yesterday with your son driving all that way on his own and how relieved you felt when you knew he had arrived safely.
Get a good night's sleep tonight because you know you won't sleep tomorrow until he's back safe and sound! :Axx

    Thank you honey :A:A.
Good luck on the email address and hope you hear something very soon x

Oh yes I will sleep better tonight and your right there as well about tomorrow, I will be on edge all over again :o:D, I told him to text or ring me when he stops for breaks, and told him he must have them often too, driving a long way as you know can be very tiring.

    Aww thanks honey xxx:A

    Greetings and Salutations!

Long time reader, first time writer.

First of all want to say thanks for all the supporting messages, giving people like me the hope to do these things ourselves and get back what it rightfully due.

Was just wondering about peoples experiences in terms of actually being paid back their settlement, once they agree to it.

To give a very brief overview, I made me initial claim for my PPI back in May this year for a loan (my only one ever!). I used RBS’s own service. I never received a notification or anything to this effect. I called again asking for confirmation to be sent, which once again never was.

I then counted the 16 weeks, called to be told that according to their paperwork, they received my complaint in June not May and I still had some time to go. I called back again refuting this and mysteriously, I was told cryptically that a letter has been sent and that I would like it.

An offer was made, I accepted and this was sent back and received (checking with 3 phonecalls) on 28th September. I have now been told that I will have to wait 28 working days to have this sent to me. Am I missing something here? I was even told that this is no guarantee and that I may have to wait even longer.

I have no arrears on my account so the full sum will be due, but I am intrigued to know why this takes so blooming long and anyone else’s experiences with RBS. I am very tempted to stop paying my last few payments on my loan and advising them that if they want the money, then take it from what is owed. I wonder if the 28 working days would suddenly disappear. I am not even sure if anything can be done in this instance. Just needing to vent and wondering if there is anyone in a similar predicament.

Hi and welcome, there like this with everyone now, i've just sent an email to the ceo of HSBC reminding him that i don't want to waste time having to keep chasing them for what they owe me, although in all fairness it's only been 9 days, LTSB are quite quick when they make there mind that they are going to pay you, it could'nt hurt to drop an email into the ceo.

Ok so i had a successful claim from Lloyds tsb, they sent me all the letters saying they would be sending me a cheque, this morning i logged on to my bank account to find that they had deducted the ppi repayment from a current loan i have out with them which has never had ppi with them on it,
my question is are they allowed to do this ?
    Many thanks chris
I agree with the others, the FSA guidance says that they can offset any arrears with the redress, but they shouldn't just be paying off a current loan that didn't even have ppi, the loans you are complaining about would have been dealt with, and you can also state that you have other more pressing issues to be dealt with than that loan, if they refuse and you didn't have arrears etc, I'd contact the FSA, not FOS though.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
