Ok so i had a successful claim from Lloyds tsb, they sent me all the letters saying they would be sending me a cheque, this morning i logged on to my bank account to find that they had deducted the ppi repayment from a current loan i have out with them which has never had ppi with them on it,
my question is are they allowed to do this ?
Many thanks chris
No i would challenge them on this i think they are starting to lose the plot.0 -

They are allowed to offset against what you owe them, however, they have been charging you interest on the loan with the right hand and stealing your money with the left re PPI
Work out how many months they had taken money for the PPI and ask them refund interest for the same time period for the loan, they cannot have it both ways0 -
I know this is off topic but had to share this one.
I am advertising for staff and was sent a CV which said
"I am working in the Sweeney and Todd pie shop, please contact Mr Ripper for a reference" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Look out "old Mackey's back in town0 -

Got calculations yesterday from LTSB there trying to say now that they've already paid out on the bigger loan and only need to address the little un, a grand sum of 88.00 and 112.00 interest, there saying they have very little info now, mind you i suppose it was 16 years ago lol, there now looking into the credit cards again, they seem to take it a bit more seriously when you put a fos questionaire in and now the fos are involved they do seem to be taking it on board at last.
Hope your feeling better today Steve, WOW, you have been busy:j:T xx
I had that problem with one of mine as well Steve, the very first loan, good luck honey xx;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Di, yes i did try to catch up a bit there's been a lot of posts in the last two days, i've asked LTSB to to me what the loan amount was and to send me the full calculations telling me how they came to there figure, if i'd paid £88.00 worth of premiums it could'nt have been a very big loan, so far they've ignored my emails (surprise surprise) if thats all they owe me thats fair enough but then they've been telling me for 6 months i did'nt even have ppi so i'm surprised they expect me to believe them now.0 -

There has been stacks of posts , and good point made Steve, and the interest over the years would have built up as well.xx
My oldest son travelled from South Wales last night to a Hotel in Darlington and undertaking a course at Newcastle today and tomorrow, as he was promoted to Recruitment Officer a few weeks ago and has to attend these course before going back to office.
So proud of him, but yesterday a bad of nerves with him driving alone over 5 to 6 hours  it will all be worth it in the end, and he should arrive home tomorrow night going into Friday early hours. x:A:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
