PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Not posted on here for a while, finding out addresses etc. Got in touch with Midland and General. They were not helpful at all. Told me to go back to Paragon Finance. They were not helpful and said it was Midland and General who dealt with the PPI claim that we were paying at £48.97 per month over 5 years on a loan of £10k. Fed up with this now and posted my letter to the FSA last week. Does anybody know how long I will be waiting for a reply?
Hi there
They are messing you around.
Basically whoever sold and set up the account are the ones responsible for the mis selling.
I take it you mean the FOS you have made a complaint to?
You should receive a confirmation within a week maybe 2, and they will then let you know they will keep in touch with you as often as possible, generally every 2 months, and will let you know when its been allocated to an Adjudicator.
However, it may take some time because of backlogs, anything from 6 months to maybe 18 months, but its known to be sooner than 6 months as well sometimes.
Good luck with this. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi I to had a loan with Alliance and Leicester so sent a SAR to Santander.I had mine sent back with a letter asking The Santander account nunber.I have not got the A&A account number the reason for the SAR.Do I send it back with a letter asking for the account number for the loan from A&A.I Did say in my SAR it was fro a A&A loan. Thanks All oggie
Hi there
How long ago did you take out the loan (year) or maybe the year you settled this?
A suggestion to try to find your loan account number would be to check with the bank you were paying the loan monthly repayments, if your still with the same bank now and bank online, this may allow you to go back to about 2002, and the account number of that loan is normally shown next to the monthly repayment.
Or call into the branch give your bank account number and they can check it this way for you.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I was paying the loan to A&L have no paperwork and they have been taken over by Santander and i bank with LLOYDS.So I need Santander to give me the account number thanks for your help0

sorry if this isnt the right place to ask but we have a credit card from Lloyds Tsb dating back to 1996, we put in ppi claim and have been awarded £165.18 plus 8% interest of £30.19 totalling £195.37. We queried this and have been told this is only for the last 6 years, we were then told to phone credit card line to get details from further back but have now been told they are not obliged to hold onto any account information longer than 6 years and have no record of ours only from 2004 onward. Is this true?0

Hi there
When I requested for my data through a SAR to lloyds last year, they provided me with data as from the late 90's.
However, they should by law hold the data going back at least the last 6 years.
You may however, if you request a Subject Access Request (SAR) be lucky to receive data going all the way back, it's up to you if you want to do this but if you do, then there is a full sar letter template below, you enclose £10 cheque or postal order and they have 40 calendar days to comply.
If you banked with lloyds and use your account number on the SAR, then they must supply you with other accounts you have taken out with them as well, so this should include all loans and credit cards, you just pay the one off payment as stated above.
