Thank you both Di and Cappo, i sent the email that you worded for me to Yorkshire bank ceo and to to Royal Bank of Scotland after getting very little or nothing at all from my sar request. I have had a reply from the office of ceo of Yorkshire bank to say that i would be allocated a claims advisor and all the paperwork would follow.
Still waiting to hear from RBS but thank you so much

  • Okay, guys...

So Egg said my claim would be settled by 8th August, OR ELSE THEY WOULD WRITE TO ME TO TELL ME WHAT WAS HAPPENING. I called them on the last working day before that date, and they were hugely apologetic, and said they were awaiting information from Barclays (who've just bought their credit cards, apparently) and that I would be receiving a letter. So far, no letter. First Direct told me they would settle no later than 31st August. It is 31st August - no word from them. I've seen a newspaper report saying that the FSA will get heavy with banks who have not settled by midnight tonight. How, exactly, are they going to get heavy? And what should I expect now? If anyone has any good insider info, it would be good to be armed before I go into battle - once more...

I'm a bit confused as to how the figures were calculated by Niggly. Now I know that my complaint is being upheld I want to make sure that Lloyds don't try to muck me about with the figures.

Hi there, get a claim in for mis sell, put the other loan number as well,as you will have had ppi carried forward from the 1st loan to the 2nd one.

Just a quickie, and I think I already know the answer but just want clarification ...

I dug out my FP paperwork with a view to writing and sending the letter tomorrow -

I have an account number for the current loan which is 7 numbers long + 3 preceeding zeros

I don't have an actual account number for the first loan but I do have a reference number which appears to be made up of the account number as it includes a number similar to the one above albiet this one is 6 numbers long with 4 preceeding zeros!

am I right in thinking that is the account number ?
  • Hi getting myself a little bit confused and wondered if someone could help please?

i had a first plus loan for £20k in 2007 and settled it 8 months later (we sold house and used the profit to settle it early)

Have sent Barclays a reclaim questionaire for it and am waiting for a response. Just wondered what i am actually reclaiming, is it just the 8 PPI payments + interest or is it those plus the PPI added as a lump sum to the loan as we settled early and there is no mention of any refund in the settlement amount?

    Hi there

As you settled, the loan ppi would have been included in the balance, so you should get back the whole sum of ppi plus interest.

    Good luck x;)

  • Hi Di,

thanks - the settlement figure was about 24k (there was £4898 as the PPI part on the original loan) Definitely no mention of any PPI refund on it either - just dug out the settlement sheet.

Having heard about my current loan being upheld (should get figures tomorrow) i was checking on this one.

With the settlement figure being £24k do you still think that contaings the £4898 ppi section as i thought at the time this was just an interest charge from Barclays?
