    Hi,

Lloyds have admitted I have PPI on my 2 loans, but say they cannot make any decisions until they have located the original agreements with The Loans Team. Can someone tell me why they need to see the original agreements if they have already confirmed the figures for the PPI and my reasons for the mis-selling are straightforward? Incidentally I already provided them with a copy of all documents I had, which includes the agreement for one of them. Yes I did sign an acknowledgement of purchase but that does not show whether I understood, or if it had even been explained to me that the policy would not pay out in my circumstances!

    Hiya

I am not too certain, but maybe its in regards of the interest rate.
I would email them back and ask them why they require these if they already confirmed they have the details of the PPI.
    Good luck.;)

loans.co.uk loan ppi upheld my complaint on june 2 called a few times know they say they are calculating the figure my question is do they have a certain time limit to get back to me with a figure I have called them twice know and they said they had the details back from G.E. money beginning of July I have called the FOS know they seem to be dragging there heels and they said let them know and they will put a complaint letter to them about how long it is taking but i am worried if I get back in touch with the FOS about how long it has taken.
    help much appreciated

    I there

I understand some companies are quicker than some, in regards of one of my secured loan ppi payouts I waited about 2 months before receiving the payment. (different company though).

I would write to their CEO.

    Good luck.;)

Hello - I'm a bit of a newbie - not sure where to post for advice on where to find the PPI agreement numbers? Does this mean I have to contact every single provider (am on to letter number 12 so far) and ask them? Or should I just put in the credit card number that I had?
    Thank you :)

    Hi and welcome

You can check bank statements for loan account numbers, for example, if all your loan repayments were debited from your bank, the details should be enclosed on statements, or if you bank online, this may allow you to go back to about 2002.

How long ago does the loans goes back?
    Cheers.;)

    Afternoon all,

I've read a fair bit of the PPI discussion thread and today decided to phone Natwest with a claim on a loan that I took out 4 years ago. They have a direct number that you can complain about PPI mis-selling on, so I've told them that it was implied that taking out PPI would improve my chances of being accepted for the loan, the bank employee was very 'enthusiastic' (nay pushy) about my taking it out and that I feel on reflection that it was not appropriate for me (all true). They've said that they will investigate, but it will take 16 weeks before I hear anything.

Is there anything else that I should do and does their timescale sound right?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

First of all wishing you luck on your reclaiming.

That is correct, it used to be 8 weeks, but due to the backlog of complaints, the FSA have given the main of the banks double to that time, however you may still hear from them with a decision before then.

    Good luck.:)

    Hi All

I'm still waiting for my offer letter that was sent out on Thursday (Lloyds) just need someone to confirm that I have done this the right way.

I want a new settlement figure with the remaining PPI taken off plus any interest associated. I have emailed customer services today for that to be arranged and When that has been done to have the rest of the loan paid off with my offer and what is left paid into my account where the repayments are taken from.

Is this the right way to do it???

Sorry just to add I know my figures are right because I got Niggly to calculate 8% the other week.

Well done to all winners today.

Thanks everyone (hope people are fully dressed now) :)
If that is how you want the win to be used then that is fine,if they !!!! up (they wont as banks never do :rotfl:) and then send the refund to you,ask for a settlement figure and then repay it.

i'd give the ico a call and see what they say as this is a data protection act data dispute it falls under there purview,i don't trust banks to come up with the goods as it were, as marksman says there probably looking at the agreement as they speak to you, try this number.

    Thank you Cappo!!

I will complain to the ICO and FSA, but if one of them ended longer than 6 years ago does that mean I cannot reclaim the PPI on it?

    Thanks
  • Di - I'm almost sure the loan and the PPI repayment were paid out to HSBC monthly as one sum if that makes sense! Thank you for your advice :-)
