What's the bit from the FOS about being returned to the state as if PPI hadn't been applied?:beer:0

Hi
Sorry to interrupt on the clothing (or lack of) discussion!!
I have just had a conversation with Egg regarding a SAR that I sent to them a couple of weeks ago. I called them because originally I had requested the CCA and the lady on the phone stated that I did not need to pay £1 as they would just send it out. Well when I wrote asking for it they wrote back saying I needed to pay the £1. I then decided that actually it would be safer to have everything form them as none of them seem to be able to tell me the correct information and contradict themselves all the time. So I sent in the SAR with £10 but received another letter about a £1 fee! Anyway after a number of conversations I have found out that the SAR is actually being done at the moment but the operator stated there is an additional fee for the CCA and that this would not be included in the information form the SAR?? I asked her to explained this but her only answer was 'its in the terms and conditions'. Has anyone else come across this before? I was under the impression that the SAR has to contained everything they hold on you which would have to include the CCA? or have I got this wrong?
The SAR should give you everything, get back in touch with them and tell them you will not pay the £1 for info you have already paid £10 for.0 -

If the loan is settled you get the ppi back with interest.
If it is a cc you get the ppi monthly amount taken off,and all payments returned to you with interest, the same if the cc is closed but no ppi monthly amount taken off.0 -
Hi there this means that if it is a loan and is still running, the ppi is taken off and (if the loan is still running) the monthly payment goes down by the ppi monthly amount and you get ppi that you have paid with interest.

Thanks Hon but I'm trying to track down the actual phrase. Egg are screwing me around (even tho' they've sent me refund cheques) so I'm firing a (hopefully) forceful email off to Bert and wanted to use it in there...:beer:0 -
All i know is they have to put you back in the position you would have been had you not taken the ppi.
See if this helps.

Hello - I'm a bit of a newbie - not sure where to post for advice on where to find the PPI agreement numbers? Does this mean I have to contact every single provider (am on to letter number 12 so far) and ask them? Or should I just put in the credit card number that I had?
Thank you0 -
You've done all the leg work smitchy but your missus will spend all the money lolThanks to all the competition posters.0

Thank you Amersall and Cappo for your replies. It is turning into a full scale war with Egg at the moment but I am not going to give them another penny and I will be getting back to them as suggested!0
