    pretty much so yeh
  • Hi,

Lloyds have admitted I have PPI on my 2 loans, but say they cannot make any decisions until they have located the original agreements with The Loans Team. Can someone tell me why they need to see the original agreements if they have already confirmed the figures for the PPI and my reasons for the mis-selling are straightforward? Incidentally I already provided them with a copy of all documents I had, which includes the agreement for one of them. Yes I did sign an acknowledgement of purchase but that does not show whether I understood, or if it had even been explained to me that the policy would not pay out in my circumstances!

it certainly is a tactic moneyangel i'm having this with LTSB at the moment, don't be sucked in by them i've been told that i don't have ppi on 2 credit cards, well i'm sticking to my guns,i know full well i had ppi on them and the sar should confirm it, talk to the bank advise them of there obligation to give you either copies of the originals or reconstituated agreements for your accounts or you will be contacting the ico and fsa, that should do it, i had the same with HSBC 3 years ago they knew what i wanted the paperwork for and sent me a letter to say they could'nt find the agreements, surprise surprise they've just found all my ppi accounts, keep at em.:)

Do you think they still have the original paperwork then, despite the age of the loans?

They are telling me that although one of them did not end until Apr 08 they do not have the original agreement for this, but they have sent me a statement of transactions for it. If it was still open then that would make it unenforceable wouldnt it?? Shame it is all paid off! ;-)

What should I do now? Complain to the ICO or FSA?

    Thanks!!

loans.co.uk loan ppi upheld my complaint on june 2 called a few times know they say they are calculating the figure my question is do they have a certain time limit to get back to me with a figure I have called them twice know and they said they had the details back from G.E. money beginning of July I have called the FOS know they seem to be dragging there heels and they said let them know and they will put a complaint letter to them about how long it is taking but i am worried if I get back in touch with the FOS about how long it has taken.

i'd give the ico a call and see what they say as this is a data protection act data dispute it falls under there purview,i don't trust banks to come up with the goods as it were, as marksman says there probably looking at the agreement as they speak to you, try this number.
