Hi if capital one have given you a final response download a copy of the ppi questionaire and fos form from the fos website, send it in with your final response from capital one and go from there,be prepared and take time when you submit your complaint the fos are very picky over complaints re this lender and unfortunately many get rejected, mine did and is now being progressed to an ombudsman,as a matter of interest when did you take out your card? good luck

I took it out in 2003.

The 4 weeks from yorkshire bank was up today, so sent an email asking for an update as there was no letter though letterbox this morning just got this response

I can confirm that your complaint is still being investigated. We have sent you an update letter dated 15/7/2011, which will still be in post.

once this has been done a Handler will be in touch with your office and the customer with their decision.

We are working in strict date order to treat our customers fairly and as such I cannot give out any expectant timescales. Please be assured your complaint will be dealt with in due course. In the meantime we will continue to send you updates on a 4 weekly basis.

    Kind Regards

    PPI Team nse.

Hi mrs shazbat, thanks for that i was just curious as to whether it was when the fsa started regulating there insurance arm which wasn't until jan 2005,the gisc were regulating them then which does leave the onus on cap 1 to prove to the fos that they treated you fairly, i know i've had to put mine into the actual ombudsman now, very hard to prove a case with this lender but hey keep trying, hopefully at some point the fos might realise theres a reason for people to keep putting complaints into them.

Does anyone have a local number for LloydsTSB PPI line? I tried the one from saynoto0870 but they told me to redial

Either that or is there an avenue I can go to expedite my claim? I put my claim in in September and the last I heard of it was the end of October saying it was on hold. Not heard a peep since

    Thanks

On receipt (of acceptance form) we will arrange for payment to be made, subject to clearance of any arrears or indebtedness you have with the Group.

Are they saying I have to clear my o/d & pay-off remainder of loan?

i would think mandy that it is the claim minus any arrears meaning dmp's or money in arrears not just a card or loan where you are making payments as normal.:):T:beer::j well done on your win (this would mean any arrears not agreed by the bank o/d's should'nt matter)
