    Hello everyone,

Can you tell me how long after the 4 week period you should give the banks to send you all your statements? My friend has sent off her request to Nat West to send all her statements but she still has had no acknowledgement back from them. We were just wondering what to do next?? Does she need to write them another letter?

Any help much appreciated as always:-))

    Hi Guys!

Got the decision from the FOS last week and it's GOOD NEWS!!!! :j They have ordered First Plus to pay me back in full what I have paid into the policy (currently still paying) + 8% interest on each payment. They also advised FP should pay me £200 in compensation for distress caused however FP have not agreed to pay the £200 compensation. I could ask for a final decision but FOS have said it could take several more months so I think I'm going to accept the offer I've got? My policy will also be cancelled so I'll be around £40 a month better off aswell. :p

To everyone thinking of claiming - DO IT!!!! I never thought I'd get anything back! Massive thanks to everyone on here who encouraged me to keep fighting against First Plus! :j :j
Me too! :D I think we'll give the compensation a miss as the blokey said it could drag it all on and I just want it sorted now.

    Hi hun
    Not a problem.:A ;)

I would remind them by ringing them if she's still not heard maybe a week before, if they do not keep to the timescale, she could contact the Information commissioners office here:
    https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx
They should look into this matter for her.
This is in regards of the SAR request and with the reclaiming, I would then go to the Finanical ombudsman service. (FOS)

Do you know if these were posted by recorded delivery?
Is so these can be checked out on the royal mail website - tracking.

Good luck to her and please keep us posted.;)

Have just spoken to the FOS. Tesco sent my file back last thursday and it is now waiting to go to an adjudicator which could take up to a year.
looks like I will be hanging around on here for a while folks
  • Hi
I sent letters not long back to a Citi Financial who I have a loan with in order to claim back PPI.They sent me a cheque for £700 which I have not yet cashed.
However, I have an appointment very shortly to petition for Bankruptcy. If I cash the cheque will it all be taken back off me?

Also I have a loan with halifax and was going to write a letter to claim money back from them but if I am going bankrupt would there be any point? They would owe me about £3000

    Thanks

Id advise to try phoning them and check they have received it - my Husband just phoned Natwest and they sent out all his statements as they dont charge for them.
    Hope this helps
