Lucky she has you to look out for her interests..what about those who don't??
I've told her when she goes in to cancel, if they tell her she can't I've told her to phone me in front of them and let me speak to them, and i'll be telling the person who sold it to her that i'll be reporting her to the FSA which I might do anyway, i think it's shocking, even in her financial review/report they have her two other policies listed which cover her for the next 15 years so why need another c***py policy that doesn't even clear the outstanding amount should she die within the term.
I used to worry about being in a bank should it be robbed, but I feel as if anytime you ask the banks for help it's them that's holding the gun to your head!!
Me thinks along the same lines as the rest of this thread, something needs to be done. Don't get me wrong a regular premium policy is better than the single premium policies, but for a 64 yr old woman who is already more than adequately covered and the worst bit is that they know it.:mad:Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Yeah I know, she was lulled into it by asking the same type of questions..do you want to pay off your debts so your family don't have to worry about it should you die..yes! and so on, best part is it doesn't even cover her in the first two years..mental.

It seems that even older customers are an easy target for the banks...and the "don't leave your family with debt" spiel...Your mother in law has been fiscally competent, so she shouldn't be prey to these people..
Maybe you could accompany her to the bank...?:)0 -
