After the success I had with my PPI reclaim against Nationwide, I fancy having a go on behalf of my hubby. I think I'm just within the 6 years so fingers crossed.
The company was citifinancial and I think they're now trading as citibank. Any ideas of contacts? Has anyone had success with them?
We haven't got any of the old paperwork so I would need to do a SARs request, how do I go about this?0 -

If i were you i would just ask for a copy of the agreement for £1 this will save you £9 and if you are within the 6 years they should still have this.0 -

Hiya
Well done on your success, and the best of luck on your hubby's as well.
I would certainly go for it with the reasons you have, and many have still been successful from even earlier years.
If you still have the account number that is fine in order to make a reclaim, a SAR is optional.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi
Was this a loan or credit card?
If a loan - where the repayments were made from the bank account, and if you bank online, this should allow you to go back about 7 years maybe more, the account number is normally shown next to the monthly repayment.
If a credit card, the details would be shown on monthly statements, or on the card itself if you still have hold of these.
Another option maybe an experian credit report for £2, sometimes they do this free for 30 days, or equifax, if you google these organisations in they will explain more in detail, however, this would be going over the last 6 years.
Hope this is helpful.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
After reading advice on here we claimed for mis sold PPI through firstplus. They told us our loan was with Loanmakers and not them, so we persued through FSCS.
We have now recieved a cheque for £3500.
Our payments however remain the same for the next 11 years.
I did think that FSCS would re calculate our payments as if the PPI was never taken out after reading other peoples experiences.
Firstplus say if we cancel PPI now, our payments will reduce by £1 a month."If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can't buy":j0 -
Hi guys,
JUst some advice please. Whilst at University I switched banks from HSBC to Barclays. Within months they offered me a Barclaycard Initial, which I still use. With a credit limit of £1,000.
PPI has always been on there despite the fact I was a full time student, without a job and, therefore, no danger of ever losing a job or being on long term sick leave. This was in 2003 and I have lived on the credit limit ever since. Would I be able to prove that I was incorrectly sold this policy due to my circumstances and, to be honest, I only realised I was paying it when I watched Sky News about the PPI on wednesday.
Thanks

Hi guys,
In 2004, after graduation, I was approved for a graduate loan with Barclays. I borrowed £3,000 in order to furnish my first house. When I went into the branch I was advised that the PPI was an essential product and so felt pressured into having it. I paid £98 per month over 42 months in repayments.
The loan was finished a few years ago and I no longer have the details and, as I no longer bank with Barclays, Can I still claim, and how would i get all of the details.
Thanks
Waltsy0
