:j Just got post through the door-all questions answered.Your refund will include the following:
1)£1960.66-This is the amount that I calculate you have paid during the period the policy has been active.
2)£179.87-this is the additional payment of 8% simple interest.
Your refund has been calculated in two separate amounts. £3265.79 will be paid directly to your loan account in order to cancel the policy. A few days later we will take £1960.66 from your loan account and pay it into your current account, the 8% simple interest will be paid directly into your current account.
So there it is...thank you very much to EVERYONE who has helped and held my hand through this process. You guys are fantastic.0 -

on the offer letter that lloyds have sent you they shoul dhave explained how the refund will be made, did they state this,
out of interest how much was th original loan and over what term.
it may be that this is only part of the process of putting the loan into the position as if the ppi had not been applied in the first place (they would have to do this if the loan is still active) and a seperate payment will then be made to you.
a payment holiday is not the same as going into arrears as this is an option which is available to you within your signed loan agreement.
i would start by clearly reading what their offer letter stated, then give them a call to clarify,
Good morning.
Thanks again for the info last week it has given me a better understanding of what Lloyds owe me.
Can I just pick your brains again.....................
The FOS have also told Lloyds to recalculate all of the payments I made on the Credit Card over the last 23 years once the PPI and interest has been removed. Am I right in thinking that this will mean I am gaining the benefit twice from the refund, as it is being paid back to me, plus interest, and also reducing my balance on the card due to the extra credit being added once the PPI has been removed.
My understanding, if I am right is that...........
As an example the balance in June 2004 was £10,249 with PPI added of £77 and I paid £204.
Lloyds have to refund me the £77 with compounded interest and then remove that figure from the £10,249, and then deduct the £204 from the reduced total.
Hopefully I am managing to get my head around this but wanted to confirm my thinking.0 -

Hi Di,
I have spoken to Lloyds again yesterday on the credit card number and they re-confimred that my signed acceptance was logged with them on the 29th July and my case is with the Customer Concerns team with a deadline of the 26th August (hopefully this year!!)
Not heard anything 'official' from them yet but will wait until next Thursday before I plan any further action.0 -
Hi there, the letter states you will get the 8% interest back to your bank account, they have not worked this out yet, if robbedof has told you what the 8% is then he is right if you dont get this amount refunded into your bank ring them and ask why.The letter states:
Answer from Key financial information:
No refund as yet. Does this mean we wont be getting the £2300 odd that another poster (think it was Robbedofmymoney) calculated previously? That puts a dent in our snowball plan:(DH called on Monday and was told there was a letter in the post explaining the breakdown and that we would then expect payment 21 days after the letter.0 -

Fingers crossed for you then.
They are not the easiest are they?
I remember they were messing about with one of my payouts and I told them I was getting in touch with the FSA, I did actually LOL, then suddenly within about 2 days after they paid out.:D;)XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"
