Hello
I am thinking of claiming my PPI back I took with HBOS in 2007. Has anyone won PPI back from HBOS if so what were the complaints you put to them?
Still have 2 years left on the loan but paying it off early got the early settlement figure under £160 rebate on the PPI and i pay an extra £40 a month for the privalage of PPI, truely pitiful. :mad:0 -
Hi Di and amersall,
Well I posted off my three hsbc claim forms (three separate envelopes to the address above and got proof of postage) but that was now 8 weeks ago, and have heard nothing!
Should I chase hsbc to see where they are?
Thanks
Peter
Hi Peter
I would give them a quick ring, and ask if they are dealing with your complaint.
Or write to them give them say a further 14 days max and tell them if you hear nothing you will continue to complain to the FOS.
Tell them you have proof of delivery.:)
That is so annoying, they could have at least wrote back to even let you know or confirm they had received your complaints and currently dealing with them. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Cheers marshalka, you are a love :A thank you x
1st option........All OVER payments sent back to me as a cheque £9157.16, repayments go up by £3.16 a month.
2nd option..... PPI (difference between 5 yr refund,) £376.20 and interest £8412.98 paid back to me.
3rd option........Balance of account decreases by £9157.16 and monthly payments go down to £741.49, payments at the moment are £825.16.
The claims company that i am using have advised option 2, as I have said before, but i don't know if that would be the right option. Any thoughts please:)
Another quick question aswell if you don't mind. My husband has suggested that the company i am using have suggested option 2 because they would have no claim on the over-payments, would this be right??????????????:o Sorry to be such a pain in the BUM but I really do appreciate your help. xxxx0 -

Also there is no mention of the statutory interest here??? What happens to that with the CMC also?0 -
marshallka wrote: »Hi poker player. Can I ask how much you are having to pay the claims company and is this going on what you actually receive in money to yourself OR the actual amount of the full redress even for the part you have not paid yet? Just asking cause I saw a post saying that a CMC was asking for a percentage of the clients redress that was taken off the loan and not repaid to them as such (although they had won the full redess). If you see where I am coming from on this - if your loan is not paid up in full yet and FP usually redress an amount in the form of a cheque to you of what you have already paid to them and then they usually take the remaining PPI off the loan balance and reduce your repayments accordingly.

Hiya, your not a pain in the bum :D;).
I did not realise claims companies gave options to be honest, so don't actually know how they work.
I see what Marshallka is saying though.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Evening Di, the claims company arn't giving me the option, fp is. The claims company received the three offers from fp, they rang me and told me to ring fp because they didn't understand the offers being made!!!! The claims company told me to except option 2 even without the figures:cool:0
