Hi all,
I think it is time to bring in the HEAVY guns.
What I mean is that I am going to write to the newspapers and try to get an investigation going on my PPI refund problem.
I am taking all the advice from here and see if a journalist, other than Martin Lewis, can help me out i.e. Daily Mail Newspaper etc...
I know that I may be doing it wrong for most people. BUT I am trying a different approach to my situation which I WANT a QUICK answer to before OTHER people get CONNED and lied to.
I got a letter a couple of weeks ago from EGG saying that they got all my recent letters and emails, they have noted this and put it on file BUT they are taking NO FURTHER ACTION with this matter. This was a FINAL RULING from,
The FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE . I replied to the FOS saying that IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY TO MY REQUESTS or I will take SERIOUS ACTION against you for BREACH of CONTRACT.

I must say the people i have spoken with at Natwest (RBS PPI concerns dept.) have been quite pleasant, how long that lasts for though who knows? The lady explained that they have upto 8 weeks to give a decision, but can require longer and i am within my rights to go to the FOS if so, but they will still carry on to investigate in the meanwhile. (which i was already aware of by the way)
NatWest/RBS appear to be very pleasant up front. However their claims handling team and decision making approach appears to be very defensive - it looks like they have trained to team to generate any possible response to complaints which leads to a rejection. This is a disgrace considering the bank is majority owned by the tax payer.
When you speak to them, they use arguments such as: -
"You could have read the contract at any time"
"You ticked the box so must have agreed"
"It was a non-advised sale" - the section of the form actually "recomments that you...buy the insurance"
"Our PPI pays out in all circumstances regardless of your situation".
All nonsense. This is completely against the FSA/FOS approach. Good luck. Do not accept their first offer as it is probably completely wrong.PPI compensation claims paid: Egg Card: £1,107, Alliance & Leicester: £2,425
PPI claims agreed: Lloyds TSB Loansdirect: £16,551, Lloyds TSB Advance Card: £9,360
PPI claims pending: RBS/NatWest Visa Gold Card: £10,734, Barclaycard: £9,375, Barclaycard loans: £2,400, LTSB (4 loans, '90s): £11,670, M&S: £1,351. Plus..
TOTAL PPI reclaim: £67,0000 -

I am looking for some guidance I was in a Trust deed, and it finished in May of this year, the other day I received a letter from my Trust Deed Accountant who said that she had been successful in claiming PPI from some of the companies (banks, credit cards) that we had in the Trust Deed, and that now she would like us to meet with someone from a finance company to see if they can claim back more PPI. I thought that it was finished. We have put in a PPI claim for a loan that we had with fp and the loan was finished before we went into the Trust Deed can the accountant make me pay her any monies that we would get back from the PPI claim our does she get all the monies even although the Trust Deed is finished, sorry for going on about it.0

Hi Sandy, I am unsure on this one, but I assumed if you were mis sold the ppi, this should come back to you.
Maybe someone will clarify on this soon.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
