Hi Amersall, Sorry to be a pain the the rear-end again but could you check out these figures for me. Egg loan ppi premium on loan.....................................................£6011.37
Less any ppi premium refund taken off loan..................................£1247.74
Refund of interest charged on ppi premium at contractual loan rate..£506.83
TOTAL REFUND DUE.................................................................£5270.46
Do these figures seem right, as i am a little concerned that the company i am using told me to agree to this just so they would earn a quick buck!! I don't think the loan was reset?
Should I have got the £6011.37 plus the interest back. The loan is in default so i would not have received any monetary benefit but it would have made my debt a little less.0 -

Hi there, marshalka or robbedof are good with these workings out, i am sure one or both of them will help you with this.Make sure the ppi total amount is actually taken off your loan as this should be reset and you need it writing from egg with figures that it has been taken off your loan and what the balance is now. Also, for the guy and gal (lol) to help you, you will need to provide loan start date, and the monthly ppi amount and what interest this was.0 -
Going for my tea now. over and out lol0

i take it from these figures they have not offered you 8% simple interest on the premiums you have actually paid.
i am not sure of how far into the loan your default was, but from looking at the figures you have posted, they are saying that they have already rebated £1247 off the loan, if this is correct then the numbers look to be reasonable.
if you post the start date, number of monthly ppi payments made, date the loan defaulted, and the value of the ppi that was sold on, along witht he apr i can then work out what you should expect back.
cheersI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
Hi poker player. Have worked 8% out to marshalkas figure to find out ppi monthly payment.I worked this out to be 132.96 a month, if i am wrong marshalka hopefully x will put me right !
8% on each payment from march 2004 to july 2010 is, according to the bank charges calc. £2,693.36 hope this helps, i have printed the calculations off in case the 8% fp give you is wrong, i can post this to you if you need them.
based on the premium of 132.96 it is about correct for the 8%, my sheet came out at 2,689.00 so they are both close so should be ok.I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
