PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi there, write back telling them that you are not satisfied with the reply and you were mis sold this ppi because
1) you were not told this ppi only lasted 5 years
2) that the ppi was put on at the front of the loan and you would pay it back with interest over the remaining term
3)you would still be paying in effect for a product you no longer had
tell them that you will be taking this to fos if they continue to say this product was not mis sold when clearly, for the reasons stated it most certainly was and the fos are upholding 99% of these front loaded ppi claims.
Also take a look at this website firstpluscomplaints.co.uk and have your eyes well and truly opened
Thanks amersall. Drafting a letter right now! This is all going to go in. Fingers crossed.
Cheers,

Hi
I am currently trying to reclaim PPI on 3 loans I took out with HFC bank in 2006/7. The loans totaled £65,000 pounds and I engaged a company called AIMS to handle my Claim.
I have read a lot of threads about other claims with HFC and found out that I had ahd the same experiences as other claimants with regard to been mis sold PPI. We had a lot of similar experiences to other claimants when we took the loans out. We were told on each occasion that the loan would not be approved unless we took out the PPI at the time and were never given the option of shopping around for PPI from other sources. We were only given one quote for the loans which included the PPI etc.
We had a letter today from AIMS saying that HFC had refused to refund our PPI because in their oppinion it was never mis sold and that their decision is final. AIMS have sent us a letter for us to sign so the case can go to the ombusman but didn't sound very hopeful of success so is this the end of my claim?
Hi there;)
May I ask if that is a claims company AIMS?
I hope they are not going to charge you for this as it was rejected.
What I would do personally is give it a go yourself, its all free with help from this site - and you only have to complete a questionnaire, these were actually recently issued by the FOS and on this site replaced the first template reclaiming letter, as there seems to be more success this way.
The guidelines of reclaiming are on the below link, you will also come across the FOS questionnaire, further down the page as stage one.
Send to whoever set up the policy, and keep a copy for yourself, this is recommended by the FOS to do this.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond.

I am also aware that HFC were one of those companies fined for mis selling this product as from Jan 2005.
If you have a go yourself, you can ask for step by step help and as stated all free and if successful you get to keep all your refund, plus interest etc, it is actually straight forward once you get into it.;)
Wishing you luck here and ask for help anytime ok.;):) And the trick is to keep at them. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there and welcome. yes you can claim this back, i prefer to write my own letter, just put your account number and the reasons you are claiming mis sell for, you dont need the magna carter, a few lines will suffice.Good luck with this and keep us posted x
Well, I just had £6200 and change back from Lloyds TSB after claiming. They didnt even argue! All monies paid, plus interest, plus 8% interest good will.

Still waiting on my partners verdict. *Fingers Crossed*0
