Thanks, looking at this I originally obtained a loan for £17k deposited on May 2006, and then in Feb 2008 I obtained a further loan with 10k or so extra and consolidated the two together (leaving 10k in my account).

You have enough info for them to find this first loan, you have the start date and amount and end date. keep us posted x

Thanks again, filled in a seperate form for the other loan and gave start and end date.. gave my new account number too and told them that the old loan was consolidated into this new one. Will post the letters out on Monday and let you know when I hear back, and the replies.. probably need your advice on them :)

    Hi Darren

Yep as amersall says you can do both.
Keep them as separate reclaims though.

If you had a rebate on the other, for example they reduced the balance of the loan/ppi, you would still be entitled to the remainder of the what was left of the ppi, plus interest etc on the first one.;)

    Hi Di,
I have just got home and got a missed call from 'Sarah at the bank', asking me to call back on an 0113 number????
Tried to call back but no reply so will try again tomorrow.
Do you know if Lloyds TSB is an 0113 number, and did they phone you at all to discuss your claims with them after the FOS ruling?

    Hiya

Damn that's a shame, hopefully they will get back to you or they will be available tomorrow.
The only number I have that we made contact with was:
    0845 300 5599

Sorry honey, I am not sure at all of the one they given you.
And no they did not discuss anything over the phone with us after the FOS ruling.

Maybe its to do with something else, sometimes we used to get calls just normal sales ones.;)

Bugsy, numbers I did also find that were at the foot of Lloyds e-mails were something like this....

Lloyds TSB Scotland plc. Registered Office: Henry Duncan House, 120 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 4LH. Registered in Scotland, number 95237. Telephone: 0131 225 4555.

  • hi there,
im attempting to claim back from a personal loan with ppi on from HSBC,
started my claim on the 10th may with the official questionnaire from this site, and ive had 2 responses from them basically saying they need more time, so on the 10th july i sent them the follow up template from this site telling them they had 2 weeks to respond with a decision and then i got a letter back on the 12th july saying they cant give me a decision in that timescale and hope to have a decision by the 8th august, theyre 14 days is up now
so ive completed the FOS questionnaire and enclosed all their letters and mine.
wonder if anyone else is having the same problems???
the loan is a 8 year joint loan( that is still active and we are 3 years into),im claiming on the fact that i was forced into taking the ppi otherwise i wouldnt have been able to take out the loan
on another note the ppi policy is only in my name and not my partners(which i have also told them were not happy with)

any help would be grateful thanks, i can give more detail if needed, just ask

    Hi there

First of all good luck with the reclaim.

I understand that many have had backlogs to deal with and are receiving these letters to ask for more time.

I suppose its something that they have not totally ignored your complaint, like some do and do not get back with a letter or ask for a timescale at all.

However, I do hope you hear soon with a good outcome at the end of this, fingers crossed for you.;)

Many have had dealings with these and hopefully will post up of their own experience for you.

    Please keep us posted, cheers.:)

  • hi di, thanks for your quick reply.

ill keep posted on how things go, one thing really confuses me about the ppi, it staes on the agreement that its just in my name, but im sure its a joint policy but it states that nowhere in black and white.

can we shed any light on this and if we have a case based on this??

    Hi and your very welcome

I would ring them to ask them on this, they should be able to confirm.

The other way to know would be to request a Subject Access Request (SAR) this costs £10 cheque or postal order, and they have 40 calendar days to comply and send all they hold on your account.
This is of course optional, and there is a letter template for this request here below link.

Hope this helps, but otherwise they must give these details on the phone.;)
