PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Finally 6 whole months after I sent all my paperwork to the FOS they got back to me!!! To tell me to contact my bank and ask if the offer is still open and if so to accept it! He was no help at all and really didn't get what I was talking about, I don't think he understood me very well. I have had 4 loans with LTSB and had PPI with all them - which was definately missold they have admitted this. I had a problem with trying to work out how much I was going to get back as the bank just told me to work it out myself. So I sent it all to the FOS with a vain hope that they could help me with the figures and to make sure that I was put back in a position of never having had the PPI in the first place. So now all I can do is write to the bank asking if it is too late to accept their offer and accept it. does anyone know if they actually tell you how much they will give you back once you have accepted their offer? Thank you0

hi,
when you accept an offer from Lloyds what they will do is write to you with a full breakdown of what they will refund you,
Lloyds seem to have go thtier act together now, although you will be waiting apporx 42 working days, 21 to send the details of the offer, and then a further 21 to receive the payment.
let us know how you get onI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
Hi robbedof, have you been on your hols? nice to have you back x0

Hi all, just received a refusal from first plus with full details of how everything was explained, and how it was my choice. however in the letter it states that we will get a full refund of approx £15,000 I have a question though, we pay £109 per month PPI will we continue to pay this when the PPI ends? because if we do £15000 isnt even half of the total payment. I know they are cheeky so and so's but surely they aren't that cheeky??0

Hi there and well done on your win :j:j:j you do not get the whole ppi back to you as the loan is still running, you get ppi paid to date with interest back (you dont get ppi that you have not yet paid) so you get £109 x the months you have paid + interest. The ppi of £15000 comes off your loan balance and the loan reduces monthly by £109, hope this helps.bernie_inn wrote: »Hi all, just received a refusal from first plus with full details of how everything was explained, and how it was my choice. however in the letter it states that we will get a full refund of approx £15,000 I have a question though, we pay £109 per month PPI will we continue to pay this when the PPI ends? because if we do £15000 isnt even half of the total payment.
