    How frustrating for you!!

Well lets hope then you do hear some response by next Monday, good luck and please keep us posted.;)

I've just seen the below when I went into my A&L online bank account and wondered if anyone could explain what it actually means (copied and pasted below:

    Important information about compensation arrangements:
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (the FSCS). The FSCS can pay compensation to depositors if a bank is unable to meet its financial obligations. Individuals and certain small firms are covered by the scheme. Please note that due to the scheme's eligibility criteria not all Santander UK plc Business and Corporate customers will be covered. For further information about the scheme (including the amounts covered and eligibility to claim) please ask a member of our staff, refer to the FSCS website https://www.FSCS.org.uk or call the FSCS helpline on 020 7892 7300 or 0800 678 1100

    Hi there

Right what this means is, for example, if you wanted to make a ppi reclaim, and the business went bust/dissolved etc, you can therefore make a claim under the FSCS, I have done this as so as many others, check their website as well.;)

    Hope this helps. X

Hi (forgive me I am new to trying to get my money bacck),

I sent off the first letter to Capital One (the one requesting a fully comprehensive list of all the insurance charges added to my credit card). I received a letter today stating the following "Unfortunately I am unable to review your request as the signature you provided us with does not match our records". I have had the same signature since I was 16!!!! The letter goes on to state "In order for us to provide you with the requested infromation, please write to me again together with a copy of your signature or a copy of documents showing your current signature, this could be a driiving licence or passport".

Does this sound a little strange?

Also they would like me to send them a cheque for £10 as opposed to £1 and they will provide me with a SAR.

    Slightly confused?

    Hi and welcome

Some do ask for some forms of proof but you could check about this with the Information Commissioners office (ICO) first and see what they suggest you do.
    https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx
they may may closed for the day now though, but ring them is best than email for the quickest method.

Some do not like sending these personal documents, so personally I would ask the ICO.

Its that of a £1 if you just want a copy of the Agreement, which should be sent to you by 12 days of you requesting for this, but a SAR (Subject access Request), you enclose £10 cheque or postal order where they must supply ALL they hold on the account, and they have 40 calendar days to comply.
There is a SAR template letter here below.
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553

However, you can still continue to make a reclaim if mis sold for any reason, just as long as you have the account number, sometimes they send copies of the agreement back with a first letter, therefore you do not pay this way.

You can then later on request for a breakdown of your loan/ppi, if successful which they would have to supply to you on request free.

To continue to make a reclaim, complete the questionnaire, keep a copy and send to whoever was responsible for setting up the policy, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.
These questionnaires are now used instead of template reclaiming letters for the first stage, and you will find this on link below, further down the page as stage one.

Remember to get proof for posting at your post office.

Hope this helped and good luck, please keep us posted, cheers.;)

    Many thanks for the info.

If I hadn't of come across this site and this friendly forum (especially your kind posts) I wouldn't have known that I have good cases (in my opinion) for PPI mis-selling for:

    Capital One CC
    MBNA CC
    Egg Card CC
    Egg Loans x 3
    Abbey Loan x 3
    Halifax Loan x 2
Choice Catalogue (who seem to be impossible to claim for)

Letters sent to all of them!
