Thanks to all that have commented.
I have made a formal complaint about the member of staffs treatment to me and I have made a memo so that I can use with any other correspondence that I need to send.
I may not get a penny back but if you dont ask you dont get, right?
After that ladies treatment I could imagine a lot of people would take her word as gospel and leave it as that.
So thank the lord for MSE and this forum of lovely people!!

Really?.........that's rather rude of her wasn't it?
Hi Di,
Spoke to the FOS today and they confimred receipt of my acceptance and said that they would usually give Lloyds 8 to 12 weeks to compensate me.
Far too long as far as I am concerned with the amount of time I have already had to wait so I have emailed Lloyds customer care and copied in Eric Daniels stating that I would like a quick settlement in order to try and reinstore some of my confidence in the bank and I also want to be paid by cheque.
I have told them that I appreciate that having to calculate a refund of 23 years PPI payments, plus charges with compound and simple interest plus a recalculation of what I paid off the card each month without the PPI added, may take a bit longer to sort, but I will be keeping Natalie Ceeney CBE (FOS CEO) updated as to my progress.
I will email Lloyds every week now until the refund is sorted.:)0 -

Well done for complaining.
All employees of any bank or building society are supposed to adhere to the principles of Treating Customers Fairly but many seem to take it upon themselves to to be mini martyrs.
If we dont complain then nothing can be done to improve the situation.
Let us know how you get on.0 -

Good for you Bugsy :T:T, that is right, you have been waiting far to long already and I think its only right that they compensate and refund what is owed to you for as soon as possible.
Fingers crossed, and well done. X:):T:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"
