However, I have already recieved a letter dated 12th July rejecting my claim. I have replied to this on 17th July giving them an opportunity to reasses their decision. The letters are from two different people for the same claim. Anyone else experienced this?0

I got a 2nd letter from RBS saying they need more time to look at my claim, another 4 weeks! Got a letter on the 28th June, now this one, are they just stalling???0

I've just posted the complaint and refund request off to the company who sold the PPI on my partner's loan.
She's a tad on the naive and vunerable side and has signed up to pay these cowboys a total of £12,000 inc interest over 5 years! She's already been paying for 2 1/2 years, so hopefully she'll be getting back what's due to her. Even though we've requested full details of the amounts paid for the PPI, the company has still failed to do so.
One thing that also made me scratch my head a bit, was the signatures on the original application form copies she'd received the other day. One was from the salesman and the other was of a witness. Only one salesman came to see her and no witness was there to sign the application. The witness signature is from the same date and the guy who signed it lives in Horwich, wherever that is?Must have been a time traveller.

Hello everyone,
I have had loans in the past as well as my credit cards (which I still have) I had a loan with HSBC and another with EGG I can't recall if I had them both at the same time. My main question concerns the fact that although these loans have long since been repaid - in or around 2002/3 I can't now remember how much the respective loans were for - though I know quite substantial, and I can't remember when I paid them off in full. I used some of my early retirement payment to clear them, this I do remember.
I retired early in 2002 at the age of 53 and I am now 61. In addition to claiming or trying to claim the PPI from these loans, I would be looking at claiming them back from my credit card companies of which there are five. Two of those PPIs have only recently been cancelled by me.
Whilst I was in full employment, the PPI would not have benefited me in any case as I was a Civil Servant and was paid my salary even if off sick, short or long term. The only benefit perhaps would have been the death benefit which was included with any PPI - however, again if I died whilst still employed my husband would have received 4 times my annual salary as a lump sum - therefore, PPI even for the death benefit was not necessary.
I don't know how or where to begin to claim PPI from e.g. HSBC or EGG in the first instance, as I can't remember the year I took these out.???0 -
Hi can anyone help me please. I am using a claims company to reclaim the ppi that was mis-sold on my First Plus loan. The original loan was for 75.000 and the ppi was 14950. I have had the loan for 6 years now and so have had the ppi payment of 14550 back because i never claimed on it (i know it was a carrot!!!) The company are now telling me that i can not claim anything else, maybe the 400 pound difference from the original ppi too the amount i was paid back but still owe them 1250 for the work that they have done. I originaly tried to claim this back myself because they said that due to a payment holiday that i would not be able to claim my ppi back, until i suggested to them that they may have mis-sold it as i have had cancer in the past (within 2 days they changed their minds and sent me the money...lol) Can someone tell me please if the companys right.
Original loan.........75000
ppi.....................14950
loan taken out february 2004. No arrears approx 72 payments of around 800 per month. Interest rate keeps changing at the moment I pay 825.26 per month............ Help please0 -
Hi, I have a HSBC loan with approx 2 years of 5 remaining. I took out PPI on this and 2 previous loans without much thought and was actually told in branch on this loan that it would increase my chances of getting the loan and improve my credit rating.
Throughout each of these loans I have been working on a 10 month fixed contract which was renewed annually.
Last year I was told that the renewed contract would only offer me 1 days work a week and I was forced to take voluntary redundancy and immediately went self employed. My earnings have been reduced substantially and is very low at the moment, when I initially contacted HSBC last month to say I was now struggling to meet repayments and to ask if the insurance covered my substantially reduced earnings I was told I would have to sign on to have a chance of being covered.
I have since being made aware of mis selling and contacted HSBC to ask them to cancel my insurance premiums as they were of little use to me, I was told someone would phone me back to discuss my request. When they did they said they were unable to help me because they did not have a copy of the loan agreement and asked me to pop in to a local branch, photo copy the loan agreement and ask for it to be forwarded to them (This was HSBC and not insurers).
My gut opinion is to follow the PPI reclaim template on here and send off to HSBC asking for cancellation of current policy and refund of premiums on all loans, any advice appreciated, soorry for the long thread !0
