    Bit of an update:

Had two loans, taken out in 2006 & 2007

Got an offer from A&L about two weeks ago for the first loan of £943. Accepted the offer, signed the paperwork and sent it off. It said that I could expect the cheque in two weeks. It's been two weeks, still no sign of it so I phoned them today. They told me that because of the volume of claims, it was taking a bit longer to get cheques sent out, although he didn't make it clear exactly how long. Has anyone had any experience of getting cheques from A&L and how long has it taken?

Anyway, today we also got an offer on the second loan of £1182 which we're naturally delighted about. The reply is on the post and we're just waiting on the cheque. Hopefully it won't take long.

Thanks to all at MSE, I wouldn't have known about this money or how to get it if it hadn't been for this site. :T

    Hi

Yes its defo worth a shot, in regards of the charges keep them separate to the reclaiming side of ppi though, it soon adds up with interest as well, and maybe ask for help if required on the thread here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=102

There is more on the reclaiming side of it here:

Hi there and well done on your win :T:T A&L wont be too long they are very good, my friend got hers 3 weeks after confirmation letter.
  • OK

So I just had a call fro the FOS. The Adjudicator has just informed me that she has upheld my complaint against NatWest. She has written to them and Informed them of her decision. NatWest have written back to her to disagree. So she had re-written to say "Tough, my decision is final". Now what happens?

Fingers crossed for a speedy response.

Hi and well done on your "win". I think if they dont agree again,it will go to the ombudsman and his decision is final, not too sure about this but you will get more advice from others on here.
