Thank you - when i received the excuse from Nemo i forwarded this straight onto the FO, just waiting for yet another excuse from them. They are horrible to deal with.0

That was about 6-8 weeks ago, do you think I should chase them up to see if they got any where with the bank?
Thanks
My LTSB complaint went to the FOS in Jan 2008 and eventually got to an Adjudicator in February 2010. (its now with the actual Ombudsman)I used to phone once a month to get an update and they were very helpful.
I wouldnt hold your breath about getting any rapid response from LTSB, that is if you get any response at all.
It was interesting to hear today that the FSA may be fining at least 2 of the major banks for not dealing fairly with customer complaints. I wonder which 2 they might be???0 -

Good luck with these, I'm sure the FOS will see through them.;)
Just a thought, I assume this was sold to you over the phone, it maybe worthwhile you request for a copy of the phone recordings?
They send a disc to us on request, and it was the disc that helped, however, when going through it there were bits missing, but the FOS picked up on this and they left a good one on there of when this was being pressurised onto us lol.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Have had two successful PPI reclaims. Got both settlements within six weeks of original letter.
I just outlined all the facts, included a spreadsheet and said if any hassles I would not hesitate issuing an N1 through the County Court and they would then have all the charges and accruing daily interest.
Both banks concerned sent back an offer letter, offering back just the principal, which i inially refused and politely pointed out that I wanted the interest I had paid, as well and the interest on all of this at 8% County Court rate.
I got it all.
Banks concerned? A & L and HSBC
Footnote: I addressed both reclaim lettesr to the Legal Departments of the banks and cc'd the claim letters to the CEO at the registered Head Office of the banks.0 -

Hi Battleaxe44, congratulations !!!!!! Just a quick question, do you have the details for the CEO, I have a ppi claim with HSBC that they are dragging their heels with (8 weeks on Tuesday) and also a bank charges claim to so it would be really good to include the CEO. Thank you !!0 -

Your welcome.
Fingers crossed and we look forward to hearing the outcome of this.;)
Hi there all.
Just wanted to tell you I have won my claim against Barclays!
I can't believe how quick this has all been.
I submitted my first letter in March, had a letter back confirming they had received the compaint and stated when they would reply.
They did so with a form for me to fill in, I asked for more advise here, sent back with a request for the two ealier top up loans to be looked into.
Another letter of comformation, then a telephone call just asking me if I had put the claim through with one of the companies that people sometimes go through.
I said no was done by me only.
Then she said my claim had been upheld and asked me if I would like to know how much would be refunded to me.
I said yes please.
I have been refunded £3470.26.
Put directly into my account. :j:j
I then received the standard letter I think explaining all, and stating that they had reasonable doubt in this case to uphold my complaint.
Then this morning two letter with forms for the two other top up loans that they have already taken into account (I think) I will look at the letter more carefully now in case not so.
So a huge thank you to you all, as I would never have been able to do this without this site and Martin Lewis's help with the letter templates etc.
Made me go from being on the edge of overdraft all the time, to a little safe money now.
Thank you so much, and go for it anyone, if I can do it with the help from here, anyone can!
Thanks again. :T:T0 -
