Are they still part of RBS?......What CRA do they use?
  • I've heard of people using ClubCard vouchers to get flights to NY.

I've been using my Tesco Clubcard Credit Card for the past year and was wondering if it would be better to transfer my vouchers into BA miles or Airmiles for a possible trip to NY.

Also, is this the best credit card to be using to get free airmiles etc ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aldo - I learnt all I know about stoozing from this site. There's a whole section on it if you do a search. It explains it much better than I can.

I think Halifax is the same as Bank of Scotland now and I don't know what CRA they use Omar, sorry.

Had a tesco visa for years - was upgraded to platinum card when they changed the points system years ago - all cards used to give 1 point for every pound spent in Tesco and 1 point for every 2 pound spent anywhere.

The new cards now only give 1 point for every £4 spent anywhere other than Tesco (I believe).

My platinum card still gives the old 1 point for every £2 pounds spent - I use it to pay for everything and acumulate loads of extra points - last year went to New York and Las Vegas using thier clubcard deals.

So I would fully recommend the Tesco Visa - if only for the points!!!!

I have a Tesco credit card as well, which was upgraded to platinum a while back, although mine is Mastercard not Visa. My limit's been upped over the years and currently stands at £10k although I don't go anywhere near that. I agree with davelewis and would recommend it just for the Clubcard points. It probably hasn't got the cheapest APR but I pay off in full every month so that doesn't affect me.

On a separate note and just out of interest, davelewis, did you 'pay' for your trips to New York and Las Vegas by going through one of the holiday companies offered or did you collect airmiles?
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?
  • I can't find the 0% purchases for 12 months deal on the Tesco website - only the 0% purchases for 6 months.

Do I have to call them to get the 12 months? Thanks...

Edit: Just called Tesco and it seems the 12 months 0% purchases is only available instore. Its one of their retail promotions.

Once the snow melts, I may take a trip to our big Tesco to sign up.

I must admit I don't take a lot of notice what they are offering as I already have an existing one - the one with more clubcard points
