((((Hugs)))) Dusty. I expect part of you is relieved that your DS is mortified and understands what he has done, despite the upset that it has caused. At least you can be reassured that he IS the kind of person you have brought him up to be and this is just a mistake that he and others will learn from.

And if the outcome is that an underlying problem is dealt with, so much the better.

I hope you all feel better about things tomorrow, and that DS3s birthday hasn't been too badly spoilt.

Right... must go and at least pretend to do some flying... :o And then I might have a bath before going to bed.

Toots - put your electric blanket on now, and go to bed at 11 ;)

Rosepink...I don't know what she's been eating. I've just walked her round the garden and nothing was happening there. She stinks!!! You can always rely on me to lower the tone.

I'm going to look at tomorrow's list and then it's into my nice new CLEAN bed....yeahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Dusty - hugs to you and your son. Bless him - sounds like he really knows he was wrong. We all do something in life that mortifies us and the trick is to learn from it and it sounds like he has. Hugs to you all xx
  • Thanks again toots, really nice that someone who has never met me cares

Rosepink hi hun, I'd just like to point out this is exactly how you made me feel the other day when you sent me a lovely caring PM.
You have a very sweet nature & have so much to give, please don't feel bad or put yourself down.....or I will take you up on your offer :A xx

Not doing quite as well as Mudbath, but have just wiped down the paintwork and bedside table in the spare room, cleaned some of the cr*p off my desk (some into the bin, some into the in tray!), and have reshelved some books that were on the ironing board!

I'm about to make my hot water bottles and put bring up the laundry from the TD... so I could tidy the airing cupboard when I put the next lot of stuff in there

At this rate, I'll either have the weekend off... or actually get round to doing the bits and pieces that always seem to get left (i.e. the last bits of the study & utility room reorganisation!)

    Now you're just showing off!

Big hugs dusty, glad you got it sorted.

LO's appt went fine today, she is pencilled in for her op on the 17th of this month, anaesthetist wont do it any sooner so will just have to manage her pain til then. Consultant was lovely as usual - could not ask for a nicer guy to trust your childs life with:A He thinks some of her pain will be muscular after the pneumonia - x -rays are fine so the rods havent moved/snapped which is good news.

Didnt get back til after 4pm so didnt have time (or inclination:o) to make dinner, so LO had soup and we ordered pizza. So nice once in a while to not have any dishes!

Tried to do some studying as i have an assessment tomorrow but i have a streaming cold and gave it up as a lost cause:o

Will head to bed i think:p

  • Hi everyone.

Had an emotional day today. It was my Grandad's funeral, but I feel a bit better tonight. Have felt really tearful all week and had trouble getting to sleep so hopefully tonight will be better.

Not really followed the lists very much this week but today I have:

    swept the hall floor
    vacuumed the lounge
ironed DH's shirt for the funeral
collapsed in the armchair in my pj's at about 7.30pm!!!!

Diva...so glad Tristan is awake. Sending more positive vibes his way.
    (((Dusty)))...I second what greenbee said.
(((Rosepink)))hope you have a better day tomorrow.
Greenbee...took your advice about checking how good your loft insulation was. I am pleased to report that the snow on our roof was nice and thick and there was much more that on anyone else's roof on the road.:D

Think I'll get myself off to bed in a min.

ETA: (((GnB))) sending pain free vibes to your LO and positive vibes to help you all through the op. x
