    Thanks everyone!

Didn't realise the time when I posted that last message... the list has taken me all morning and half the afternoon!!

Quick question. Where do I find the tasks for tomorrow?

    Ohhh I am keen! :D

Tomorrow's list won't be up until this evening when Pigpen gets back and [strike]makes it up [/strike] posts it - it will be added to the first post.

If you're on a roll, either have a go at Monday and Tuesday's lists (both on the first post), have a general declutter round the house, pick something that you've been putting off for ages, or do one of the tasks I challenged mudbath to yesterday when she was bouncing off the walls  1. clean all the lightbulbs so you can see the cobwebs properly, 2. clean all the radiators properly (down the backs, down the insides, wipe the panels, clean the valves and pipes)...

... ooh... just thought of another one... mudders... when you've finished de-crumbing your keyboard, you could dust/wash all your lampshades :D

Or you could both come over here and help me out ;)

Toots ... if this is the 'friend' you've talked about before, you don't need snow. Tell her you can't see her because we won't let you :p
  • Just a quickie -

Re Yankee tarts, they keep fine stored in the dark for well over a year. If you want to change scent, let it cool and then put the burner in the freezer and the wax will just pop out and you can put another tart in and reburn the old one later!

Yankee candles I have stored for even longer and they have been fine. I have a huge christmas candle that I have burnt for two christmasses in a row and it is now back in storage and I am sure it will smell just as good next year too! I have a lot of Yankee candles from when my income was higher and I used to buy every todays special value that QVC ran. The housekeeper candles just burn and burn and burn!

  • thanks for that diva - will be keeping my eyes open for 'special' offers!!!

greenbee yes its 'her' - did agree i would go with her to stirling but now that I have got stuck into my bedroom i would really like to finishit - thats not very nice of me is it? will just have to see what the weather does as she is not a very confident driver in the snow anyway.

and will you stop coming up with jobs for mudbath - I am having to add them to my list of things that need doing and its growing too much!!!! rofll.gif

Toots... I think you should call her... all that flying's given you flew ;) I doubt you'll be able to make it out of your bedroom tomorrow given the symptoms you're currently exhibiting :p

diva - very happy to hear news! Will go light another candle.

    dusty - have pm'd you.

hex - feeling slightly better thank you, but not 100% - and I'll need to be for tomorrow!

Why didn't anyone tell me to check the size of my largest saucepan before I started marmalade and discovered I can only fit in three of the six pints of water?????

Oh well, I'll cook it for one hour, then add the other three pints... I shall be staying up very late tonight as this rate. On the plus side the house smells delicious!

Rather cross with the Telegraph headline I spotted in S'bury's, along the lines of teachers not being wimps and closing schools in the future....beg your pardon, but teachers don't get to make that decision!! And some of us (including me) were in school on Monday!

Must go do some more school work... I'm doing the topic of clothes with Year 7 and got rather distracted by paper dressing dolls...I'm sure the girls would love it, but what do the boys do??

  • I am so sorry, I forgot what I actually came online to say (Yankee tarts will distract me every time!).

THANK YOU to all of you who said you were pleased that Tristan had woken. Yes, he is a fighter and I know the cancer is still there, but to survive 7 days in a coma and then wake up at this stage is nothing short of a miracle. He became much more stable Sunday/Monday after all those prayers and candles and love were sent out on Saturday and his coma became lighter and lighter and then yesterday morning he finally opened his eyes and started talking. He emailed me yesterday teatime but I was so cold I didn't come online til this morning to recieve it!

Anyway - thank you all again - you have all been wonderful

    Hi all.

I didn't officially fly today. But was busy nonetheless.

Cleaned my kitchen and livingroom. Tidied up, hoovered, dusted and mopped the floors.
Cleaned toilet and hallway as well.

I had somebody coming over today to talk about me childminding her little boy so the downstairs had to look good!! :D

I'll jump back in tomorrow. Promise.

But at least I do feel like I did some housekeeping today, o not feeling completely useless. :D
