Mumofjusttwo- sorry to hear about your DH's work...I really hope things improve. I'm waiting to see how many clients rebook with me now i'm know when I'm going back to work. So far a lot have but this would be a perfect time for them not to make another appointment if they're finding it a bit tight. Fingers crossed!

I've done tea, dryed all bedding and am going to get DH to make beds.

Thanks Lady Liberty - shall I just tell everyone that I gave you a cheque for a million pounds, a brand new car and your own holiday island so they're not wondering!!:rotfl: xx

    Evening everyone

Boddy - hope your Mum gets better soon
Twin Mummy - venison and red wine - G&B put me onto this recipe

    http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/braised-steak-au-poivre-in-red-wine,1206,RC.html

Just substitute the steak for vension chunks (mine were about an inch square). I did it in the oven but I guess you could do it in the slow cooker. It was very, very nice!

Diva - top news about Trsitan
Mumofjusttwo - I nuke a potato in the microwave for about 5 minutes then bung it in the oven for half an hour or so on hot and they crisp up beautifully. Sorry to hear about OH and no work
Dusty - hun - big, big hugs to you! It's not YOUR fault - honest. I agree with everything Mudders said and happy birthday to your 7yo DS
Kassey - happy birthday to your DS
Rach - glad you got to have another day at home
    Deccie - welcome
Toots - wishing you lots of snow so you can avoid Toxic! And if you don't manage to avoid her, DO NOT back down on your decision not to go to the wedding!

Thank you everyone for your safe journey vibes. The trip in was fine though slow - quite a bit of slush about but no ice. Trip home was normal. The roads were clear and dry. Hardly any snow left when I got home.

But now I have to go fly. I will get ONE star by the end of the week....

Well sorted a few toys out from DS room to DD room. Then I have moved some toys into our room so I can take them to charity shop. Out of the house YES!!!!!!!

I have rather cleverly put the charity stuff near to the stuff that needs to go into the loft so DH now will need to put the loft stuff away so he can get into his wardrobe :D

Mudbath- good luck with your clients. Hope a lot of them come back.

Toochosey DS is terrible with newly ironed clothes. I now have to put them straight away otherwise he starts trying to build tents out of them. He is only 5 I reckon in about 5 years he won't even want to touch them.

Mumoftwo - I know how you feel. My DH is self employed and he is really struggling to get work at the mo. He had 2 days of work this week that he couldn't do because of the weather so they have been moved to next week. The bills can't be moved back a week tho! He is his own worst enemy - despite me reminding him every day he still hasn't put in his invoice for work done a week and a half ago! Good news is that I have a full day's work on Friday, so I'm expecting a good pay day this month!

Had a text from my mum - a close family friend has had a stroke and is in hospital. Someone else we know has had a fall and broken her nose. On the plus side, another family friend has come through an operation well and is recovering in hospital ready for operation 2. I don't know how my mum knows cos she is in Northumberland on hol, but it's left me feeling very sad.

Managed to get hold of DH on the phone finally - couldn't reach him all day. For some reason I started panicing that he'd crashed and was dead. I'm feeling quite depressed today, my cold is getting to me.

Have torn up some more cardboard ready to be recycled. Hope you all have a good evening xx
