rosepink hugs for all the sad news in your family - it often comes in waves like that - BUT....... now you will have to stop thinking so negatively about DH - you will end up willing something bad to happen and worrying yourself into an early grave!!! See - you nearly forgot to tell us about your voucher - well done - what a nice treat! Could you offer to help DH with his invoices to make sure they go out speedily??? I have a new signature tune for you to hum "always look on the bright side of life........" :rotfl:

    toots xx
You are quite right. I have major clinical depression and agoraphobia, and can work myself up into a bit of a state sometimes. I do try to correct my negative thinking, just having a bit of bad day today. Normally I'm quite good at stamping on depression thoughts and forcing myself to think a good thought to replace it. I had a good cry when DH got home and am eating Maltesers. He is so kind and supportive.
He's printed out his invoice, just hasn't delivered it yet! I think I might kidnap it tomorrow and take it round myself.
I am actually humming "always look on the bright side of life" and its making me smile so thank you! :A

sorry :o but it's a major thing because she's refused point blank the last few months (since she's in pants) - and rather holds it back or well, soils her pants  - but my sister gave me a great tip and i got a 'magic creme' which goes on her bum and it doesn't hurt anymore :T

oh honey I am really sorry I didnt remember that - so I can understand how things look black sometimes - but well done to you for recognising the negative things and trying to get the better of them. maltesers are excellent but purely for medicinal purposes of course and I would prescribe them daily I think!!!!!
I like the 'kidnapping' idea - its for his own good - I think he needs you as his PA!!!
remember honey when you get down come on here and tell us and we will try to help and if you like jokes pm me with your email address and I will add you to might list - there was a couple of funnies today!

I hope I didnt hurt or offend you with my first post.

Thought it was supposed to be low fat/low cal - meringues are not low cal - all that sugar! :p
yes but they're very low in weight watchers points as no saturated fat ;)

A really indulgent and high fat/cal pud I occasionally do is:

Get a pack of ginger nut biscuits (no others will do!), soak them in dry sherry so they've absorbed some but not gone too soggy and then sandwich them all together with whipped cream so you have a long log like thing of them. Simple, easy to prepare and positively to die for! You can always shave a bit of dark chocolate on the top if you want...

mmmm...I do a similar one with choc chip cookies and brandy (or any other booze to hand) either in a log or a bowl...DH's 15 year old cousin polished the lot off on Boxing day with a big grin on his face!!

You did NOT offend or hurt me in the least bit. I was so pleased that someone responded to how I am feeling, and you really encouraged me. I thought it was funny about the song, it made me smile for the first time today. Thank you for your kind words, I think I needed to get it all off my chest before I went mad! It's hard sometimes to break the cycle of negative thoughts, I knew the thought about my DH crashing was stupid and illogical but couldn't get it out of my head. He's home now, he said he didn't have any signal where he was today.
I still feel a bit weepy, but am going to have a nice relaxing bath now and read my book as the footie is on!
Thanks again toots, really nice that someone who has never met me cares
