Evening! I have decided I don't like driving on snowy or icy roads  It was so clear down here this morning that I wasn't expecting so much snow at work! The children had great fun at playtime though, but we did have to dry out several socks! Our head kicked us all out as soon as the children had gone so we could get home in the light - it was still snowy then and the car park and pavement were very scary.

Anyway, since I got home I have washed the window in the spare room (benefit of arriving home whilst it was still light!), cleared the floor and put more than 5 things away.

DeniseNZ - welcome back and glad you had fun

Diva - fantastic news! Candle lit and keeping fingers crossed

Dusty - hugs! We don't think badly of you. Did he know the meaning of the word? Sometimes children use words they have heard without really understanding them IYSWIM. ETA - I see you've already had great advice!
OJK - hugs for your poorly girls, and  at the amount of washing. I do 2 or 3 loads ......................... a week!!

kassey and Dusty - Happy Birthday to both your DS

gnb - hope all went well today

deccie - welcome (to the madhouse!!)

rosepink - hugs for you and all the friends

    Mmmm - fruit salad :D

    Right - my list ................

Thought it was supposed to be low fat/low cal - meringues are not low cal - all that sugar! :p

A really indulgent and high fat/cal pud I occasionally do is:

Get a pack of ginger nut biscuits (no others will do!), soak them in dry sherry so they've absorbed some but not gone too soggy and then sandwich them all together with whipped cream so you have a long log like thing of them. Simple, easy to prepare and positively to die for! You can always shave a bit of dark chocolate on the top if you want...

And then there's always my Mum's famous 'dead bananas' but that's indulgent too.

I have S&S'd the kitchen, phoned best friend up the road, put the DW on, the BM on, defrosted some chicken pieces which are currently cooking in the oven.

Off to peel a lot of veg.

    Evening everyone
Toots - wishing you lots of snow so you can avoid Toxic! And if you don't manage to avoid her, DO NOT back down on your decision not to go to the wedding!
But now I have to go fly. I will get ONE star by the end of the week....
soappie glad you had a safe journey - No worries over the blessing - I have sent a non-acceptance card - they cant put me up so they assumed I wouldnt go anyway - the invite was sent out of politeness apparently!
there is about 50-80 going - i would know 5 and considering they have split up and got back together 5 times in the last 3 years I personally think its a bit of a farce!

mumofjust2 hugs and *more work* vibes for yourOh and all the self employed people and *more funding* vibes for Soappie!

toochoosey WTG now thats what I call I nice tidy list - this star system has certainly got you working!!! keep it up!!!

rosepink hugs for all the sad news in your family - it often comes in waves like that - BUT....... now you will have to stop thinking so negatively about DH - you will end up willing something bad to happen and worrying yourself into an early grave!!! See - you nearly forgot to tell us about your voucher - well done - what a nice treat! Could you offer to help DH with his invoices to make sure they go out speedily??? I have a new signature tune for you to hum "always look on the bright side of life........" :rotfl:

have spoken to the dragon lady:rolleyes:

Wooh hoo, I have completed todays list as well Pigpen!

Also done HHI so there is none left, plus 20 mins on wii fit so I can slope off for a bath shortly in the happy knowledge I have left nothing undone. Just need to empty and fill DW, shift the WM contents into the TD, and sort the boys stuff for the morning.
