Ooooh what did you get? I've just put my free one on - it's a bridgewater candles toffee apples (i've never heard of bridgewater before but if it's any good they are cheaper!).
I've flung 60 things and DH has completely finished his study {Mudbath faints!} xx0 -
evening all :hello:
bad tum today, so not much flying, plus due to snow, DS's dad couldn't come to play, so I had to fill in, and take him to practise his snooker for tonight's tournament!
His team did really well last week, and won their match. Last time he took part, his team won the whole tournament, against adult teams!!
I hope you are all safe and well after all the snow?

I think it is disgusting schools are closed because of a bit of snow.. honestly there used to be feet of snow and staff and children still got in.. such pansies!!!
Also in the past teachers often lived fairly near but nowadays plenty of teachers have to travel a long way to school and if they don't arrive on time you have problems with having too many kids and not enough teachers - health and safety issues.
Its a fact of our society! We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
My update for today.
Me and dh had annual leave booked for today - me to catch up, him to nurse his hangover:D Kids school closed at lunchtime so just as well someone was at home. Dh looked after / sorted out / amused the three kids while I flew:D
Didn't get the living room done this morning because I got distracted by DDs bedroom. Its the smallest bedroom and very cluttered. At 7 she still shares a bed with her younger brother (age 5) in the boys room which most times I think is really sweet but I am now starting to think she really needs to be in her own bed. Becuase she does not use the room to sleep in I have tended to use it to sort through the ironing and if it don't get put away it lingers on her bed / in her room until I do. So I cleared away all the ironing that was in there and had a little move around of the furniture flung a few things and gave the room a good clean.
DD was very happy:D still not overjoyed about sleeping in there on her own but she has fallen asleep quite quickly .... we'll see ....
Anyway have also had a good go at the hallways and stairs. Everything is now clear - including the Christmas decorations:j :j Tried to put them away myself but just could not manage it from the step ladders we have but dh came and did it as soon as he was asked:j :j He's been a bit like that all day, I have not asked much of him but what I have asked he has done in record time:j
Here's the list:

Call me an old softie but my son's teacher is very pregnant and i'd rather she didn't try to get into school as she lives quite away away in the hills (also, if they don't go in I don't have to go out in that horrid, white, cold stuff:rotfl: - what do you mean 'it's only a one minute walk' - it's COLD!!!) xx0

pigpen unless in cases where children would be put at risk by travelling (ie those who travel in wheelchairs by taxi etc) I agree, at DS2s last school the head would walk in and told staff he expected them to do the same if necessary. He also usually employs local staff or those willing to move closer.
.
Like to know how he did that, We can't even get enough staff let alone insist they live within walking distance. In my school of approx 100 plus teachers and other necessary staff only about 5-10 live within walking distance! We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
today i paid a bill, kept my elderly neighbour company for an hour, as she was lonely, and posted a letter for her.
s+s'd the bathroom
my DS decluttered some snow, and made a snow head, and mounted it on the wall pillar by our front door!smoke-free since Aug 2003 :j JDWilliams [strike]£479.55 [/strike] [strike]£417.92[/strike] [STRIKE]£318.33[/STRIKE] £0.00NSD in Feb 1 so far Ambrose Wilson [strike]£464.49[/strike] [strike]£422.76[/strike] £405.11:T

fedupandskint - big hugs and sending healing whiplash vibes your way
Unless we have a miraculous thaw in the next 10 hours I ain't going to work tomorrow! Have just been out to the bin and the road is covered in snow again. Most unheard of!
I also bent down to get something out of the fridge and my right knee protested big time! ~ouch~ too much bending down and getting up again over the last few days.
But, baby broc cheese in the oven, potatoes about to go in, chicken about to be lemoned all to be ready for WDYTYAI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

PMSL pigpen....you've just made me choke!!!
If I was a teacher I wouldn't want to live anywhere near the school....I wouldn't want to bang into the little [STRIKE]pests[/STRIKE] dears on my day off. I reckon you shouldn't be allowed to live within 100 mile radius of the school you work in for that very reason!!0
