Soappie ~ what a wonderfully innocent looking dog you have!

mumoffour77 ~ Well done to your son :T and I'm so pleased for your daughter that her eczema treatment is going well....not sure how old your daughter is? But my nephew had the bandage treatment and then once he got passed seven his eczema just seemed to dissappear, hope very much something similar happens for your little one.

Well that was an interesting night....woke up at two, four and five all with strange dreams about things going wrong with mouths/ choking dreams....in one of the dreams I was in an old peoples home and we were all being forced to wear gum shields whether we wanted to or not plus work in Siberian salt mines...........maybe I need psychiatric help, not a gum shield!

Back to today, woke up too late for church, so just going to gently potter about house, if it stays fine will make it up to the allotment.
  • Morning. Well not much flying here due to children!!!!! Flipping breadmachine has finally given up the ghost, stopped proving the dough, (It si 4th hand so has done very well) So have just treated myself to a new cookwear one from argos £30. Don't want to be without one in this weather, we really suffer lack of fresh food when the weather is like this due to all little side roads that don't get gritted. (Morrisons had absolutely no fresh produce on Friday as lorries couldn't deliver) Plus I prefer home made as Iknow what's in it and it's cheaper and tastes miles better.
Shall have a potter around the house, tidy kitchen again:eek: Will shorten two sets of curtains for the bedroom, use to be in lounge both cream, so nuteral. Tidy bathroom and see what else is in need of doing,
Do hope that the kids get to school tomorrow, but as we have heavy snow forcast for monday evening..... We shall have to wait and see. (I need to get the house reasonalbe ofr the half term hols:eek:)

Well, must get on. Will let you know how the new breadmaker is. TTFN:o
The problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:

    Morning all

Didn't get to post again last night, but we did a major dusting and vacuuming session after the carpenter left. Still finding a few bits but they'll get cleaned up as I go round the house again. Still one door left to be done but we're waiting for a replacement as one turned up with a gouge in it. Was supposed to come Thursday but snow and ice prevented that.

It's so weird to have doors that I have to open with a handle instead of just pushing, they all used to just wedge in the frame and none of the handles worked properly. We've lived here for 33 years this month. DH doesn't like to rush into things....

Just started doing a roast dinner. Don't expect I'll do much else today....oh, I've done a load of washing and hung it round indoors. I've got enough for another load but no more space so I'll do that tomorrow.

Off to catch up, hope everyone's OK.

I need to get a skip booked once the snow goes - the patio is lost under a mountain of rubble sacks full of old plaster and bricks.

hex - I use hippobags (www.hippobag.co.uk) which means that I can chuck stuff in them as I go along and arrange for them to be collected when I finally get round to filling them up. You pay a small fee up front for the bag, and then a collection fee when you book it, so it takes the time pressure off and should work out cheaper than a skip.

mof77 - congratulations to your DS. And have you thought about moving your bank account to one that does what you need? Great news about your DD.

LL - take it easy, and enjoy some time with your DH before you go into hospital. He's going to have to be waiting on your hand and foot when you get back, so be nice to him now ;) ... and maybe you should buy yourself a bell to ring so you can summon him when you need him :p

Today's plan... clear a bit more of the drive... continue to work on study and utility room as the rest of the house is pretty much OK from last week!
  • Morning all, not been on much so hope everyone OK...

Loads to do today so am going to limit myself on here, but will update when I can... It's been manic busy the last few days, the joys of S/E and working from home eh! you never get away from it....

Anyway, off to buy some soap powder and a few other bits as I've run out so see you later... :)

I'm here! Still not quite awake but here. Got loads to do again after my rubbish day yesterday, so shall see how I get on.

    Ta Da's:

    Have much needed coffee!

    To Do's:

Woosh around the kitchen worktops and clear the mess from yesterday
5 minutes picking up stuff off kitchen floor and giving it a sweep
Empty and expand dining room table so I can move my sewing stuff there for tonight.

Also I was up till 3am ish last night after making myself a new handbag :D If anyone would like to see my creative genius I will post pics ;)
